Makes a good classroom text book or could be used by most people to complete their own training without a ground instructor. Just don't know if you could get signed off to take the written like some of the online courses.

This book is long, yes. But if you want to a book that has everything you need to know for Privat Pilot look no futher.

Definitely helped me to learn the basics and prepare for flight school. Felt like a mix between a textbook and study guide, this book is a definite must.

If you want to become a pilot and just do the minimum, well, firstly, DON'T. Minimums are not good enough. Minimum in this field would be the official FAA book. If you are like me, and one source is not enough, this series of books should be the second ones you get. They are well-written and do a great job covering the material. As others have mentioned, there are some errors, but honestly, I haven't seen a book without errors (even the official FAA book has mistakes). A good student reads from multiple sources, and finds the right answers through their own investigation (e.g., talking to CFIs). If you are serious about flying, get into ground school, use the books they recommend, get the FAA book, get this book, and read them all.

It is really getting me prepare to take my FAA exam so I can start ground school.

This book is very detailed and easy to read and understand. I am only about 25% of the way through it but it has everything and more so far. I recommend it.
