Really gotta say I'm not one to really write reviews but I am dealing with a hernia right under my belt line just like the picture depicts. With having to wait a month to see my primary and then another to see the surgeon.. I bought this item having delt with the discomfort and having to hold my hand over the hole so it didn't pop out on me.. this belt works very well I would highly recommend buying this 30 bucks is well worth not having to deal with the pain and discomfort of pushing the hernia back in

Works pretty well but the velcro belt is very hard to clean and it fills up with lint and is no longer secure. And I don't see any way to replace just the velcrk strap

It's much better than the other brand of belt I bought that "looked" fitting and higher priced. What could be better is some Ace Bandage Clips or safety pins to secure the waistbelt better. It does great holding in my pesky hernia otherwise.

I bought this belt for my husband . His surgery date was 3 weeks away and on certain days his pain level was 10/10. He was very reluctant to try it and i told him about the reviews that i read. He fought me tooth and nail to wear it. I said just try it. He said their is no way it was going to work! Finally he tried it and except for sleeping he never took the belt off. He was literally pain free . He was able to do yard work and everything without any pain until his surgery date. Definitely try it!!!

Edit: Update..after owning for a few months the quality of the velcro is terrible. After having it a month the velcro was rolling up and barely holding and now at 2 months it is a struggle to keep it on. It pulls your underwear down and the velcro just does not hold anymore. I would try a different one doing over again--luckily my surgery is next week Having only had it a few hours a few things immediately pop up as an issue: -The pressure pad feels like it does not provide even pressure -You can pretty much not sit with it..you can feel the waist stretch and the pressure pad moves and seems to no longer do what it is supposed to and get in the way of sitting -Don't plan on really bending over to pick something up/putting something down..it tends to move around get in the way -The strap that goes around between your leg totally gets in the way and binds..I had to stop using it Seems like it does put some pressure on and keep my inguinal hernia in a little (mine is not big yet) so will see if things improve with the functionality of it as I try to adjust things.

Belt works great when new. After wearing it a couple weeks, velcro curls and gets clogged with lint and such, and becomes less functionable. Manufacturer needs to make it adhere better with a clip or some sort of better attachment.

Works well and easy to put on.
