8th Enhanced Ed remains SPIRAL BOUND. Arrived new, shrinkwrapped (online access intact)
I have yet to open this edition, but got it because I have worked with the 6th Edition previously. This is the only book I know of which explains the practical application to periodontal treatment - that is to say, it walks you through the use of each instrument (mirror, scalers etc) step by step with excellent diagrams, and even online videos to reinforce their use. As a UK reader - I would advise caution regarding the protocols for treatment sometimes advised (this may not be in line with UK best practice guidance). All in all an excellent book.
