Small size with good draw
I am using this for my master bathroom renovation. I have it hooked up to my 4 inch vent fan line that exits out the back of my house. Busting up tile and drywall would be a dust disaster in my bedroom w/o this. It comes with an extra set of carbon brushes, and I ordered more to have on hand. Works very well for the money, and is perfect for my needs.

Great Price & Performance
Read the fine print ( I didn’t) and you will see the decibel rating is 72 at a distance of 28 feet! Nevertheless it is no louder than my Wen shop vac. I wear ear protection always so I can listen to music from my IPhone thru my hearing aids. Suction is very strong and unit is perfect size for a small spare bedroom DIY shop.

Pulling power is great
600 CFM is great for dust collecting on my CNC Router. It's a little louder than my previous dust collector, but not bad.

Good suck for the buck
Downsized a few years back and let several things go, including a 2 HP JET dust collector. When I got a new planer recently, I had to have something better than the canister vac. I was prepared to be disappointed, but I'm not. Plenty of suck for the planer and drum sander. Surprisingly good with a SawStop PCS. Not enough keep the top clean, but great for the cabinet.Pleased enough I think I'll get a second one just for the saw.

Buyer Beware
I would really think twice before purchasing this dust collector. When it worked, it worked okay. It is very small and quiet, but it develops adequate suction for its size. My problem is it failed after 3 -4 hours of use (turned on and off maybe a dozen times). I contacted WEN through their website. Received an email that my claim had been received. 7 days later I have still not heard back from them. I decided to write this off as a loss. After a bit of searching, I found a better unit (Central Machinery) for the same price and 30% more power. On top of that is is an induction motor, not brushless like the Wen. Don't waste your money on this product.

Great dust collector
I love this thing. I mounted it on the wall to save space, and it really sucks. I'm using 2 of these in different spaces in my shop to replace a 2 HP grizzly dust collector that was just too big. It's not as powerful as the grizzly, but there's 2 of them, and now I don't have 50 ft of 4" pipe running through the shop, which tended to reduce the sucking power of the big dust collector.I did replace the bag with a 1 micron bag with a window (5" opening works fine) which works better and also you can see if it's full. Also, I'm using a 4" clamp with thumbscrews on them so it's easy to unscrew it to empty the bag.I use this on a tablesaw, router table and bandsaw. This moves way more air than a shop vac - I have a rigid shop vac and it would not move dust out of the tablesaw/router collection area like this will. And the good news is it's really small, especially when on the wall.

Good for the money, but has some problems that could be easily fixed
This is a pretty good budget collector, an I was expecting budget quality going into it, but in the end there are some issues that the manufacturer needs to address to make it competitive and more worthwhile. First, the protective screen between the intake and impeller clogged constantly when using a jointer or planer. One would assume this likely also applies to handheld power planets and other power tools that produce larger chips and shavings, which are primarily what you’d be buying a collector for in the first place. The waste material collects on the rough expanded metal screen because of its texture and shape. This could easily be fixed by using a different material for the screen that goes ant effectively coated with sandpaper. The second issue of a the collector bag. The zipper on the bottom of the bag is plastic and has trouble zipping from the factory. This difficulty zipping only compounds when unavoidable dust and chips after emptying gets caught in them. Mine took about two weeks before it just stopped zipping entirely. Collector bags, however, are pretty cheap, so o just bought a new one which was also able to filter down to 5 microns. I shouldn’t have had to do this though and the bag should have been engineered better to be more durable.Given the chance, I would not buy again and just went for the mid to high end brands from the start. I would say this is more suited for hobby woodworker who are really only building personal projects from time to time, as opposed to a hobby or professional woodworker who does any sort of production work or heavy milling of materials; the quality and durability just isn’t there for production work. Finally, repair parts seem to be a crapshoot. I was able to get a replacement impeller when mine broke (as noted above, the screen clogs easily, so I had to remove it) directly from Wen. However, Wen seems to be the only source for repair parts—they don’t seem to sell parts to retailers—so when it came time to replace it a second time because of the same root cause (poor quality screen that clogs too easily) and the part was out of stock, I couldn’t fix the collector. This was the point I decided to just buy a completely new unit and transition this one to a backup or just dedicate it to my table saw.

Great for garage shop
I use this dust collector for two bandsaws. My previous dust collector didn't have the vacuum power to pull all the chips from the front bandsaw port. So, I would have sawdust pile up on the lower guide assembly. This machine has great vacuum power. I no longer need to stop working to clean up. I probably wouldn't add more ports than 4 needed for the 2 saws. But as set up it, it works wonderfully. I would buy this again.
