Set in dazzling Paris, the worldโs favourite storyteller, Danielle Steel, explores a high-profile affair that reverberates throughout an entire family reminding us that mothers and sisters come together when things fall apart. A year they would never forget . . . Rose McCarthy is the legendary editor-in-chief at one of New Yorkโs top magazines. Following the death of her husband, she and her four daughters have become even closer. All have successful careers: Athena is a TV chef, Venetia a fashion designer and Olivia a court judge, while Nadia, the youngest, is a talented interior designer living in Paris. Nadia considers her life perfect โ married to bestselling novelist Nicolas Bateau, who adores her and their two daughters โ until the tabloids leak a story of Nicolasโs affair with a dazzling young actress. Heartbroken and publicly humiliated, Nadia looks to her family for comfort and support as she attempts to put her life back on course. As mother and daughters spend more time together, they come to realize the things that matter most in life. Review: Fairytale de Luxe - Don't think about this story as reality. Don't think it's something that could happen to YOU. It probably will not, unless you happen to be French. It's a fairytale. A fairytale where anything and everything can happen - and does. Not only good things, but horrible, unhappy and sad. But you know what, I would rather read about all this misery when it happens in beautiful surroundings, to people with lots of money. People who own a chateau in Normandie, always go 1st class when they are flying, go for weekend trips to New York, LA, London, Rome, The South of France and stop over in Paris to shop at Chanel. In these fairytales the women are gorgeous and stylish. When flying they wear clean white jeans, t-shirt, white denim jacket and ballet flats. Out to dinner somewhere chic, they are stunning in simple black and pearls with just a hint of makeup, or no makeup at all since they don't need it (a bit irritating, but ok). I shall not tell you about either the misery or a happy ending. There are lots of both good and bad within this frame of neverending luxury. But it sure is a joy to read about satin, silk and Hermรฉs sandals. One simply does not wear anything but designer in a book written by Danielle Steel, the Queen of Fairytales. I love it. Love her books. The luxury, the beauty, the houses in the Hamptons and the apartments in the 7th arrondissement or with a view to Central Park. I could tell you more but my housekeeper is off today and the sitter is near a nervous breakdown, so I have to end here. PS) Do buy the book. It's out of this world. "Pure love. Pure Steel." Review: Quick delivery and a great price - Delivered quickly. A good read. Typical Daniel Steel story.

The Affair
Another good book from DS. The title on the book says it all, and as I started reading I thought this is going to get boring if it is just about an affair. Well it is about an affair, but it was not boring and was a very good story to read and I would recommend it.

Just another it's ok as long as your rich !
Read many of this authors works (SPOILERS) The rich and famous ,the glamour. But this book seemed to " Glamourise " cheating because the were wealthy and famous ! And not just cheat but publicise it graphically ,and intentionally get her( early 20s) pregnant. Abandon your wife and daughters and then decide ( after she abandons him and the baby boy ) that his wife is the love of his life and he wants his family back he's sorry !! And it all ends with a ridiculous 're marriage and all is forgiven !! I enjoy a little escapism and love some drama but this left me annoyed with the author it could have been so much better.

Good read
Another good rear by Daniels Steel. The four sister each had great jobs, happy family lives until one of the husbands thought he could have his cake and eat it. Knowing this would upset the family he already had. Lot of twists in the storyline.
