Loving the results
I’m always looking for “new to me” plants to start, and these seeds did not disappoint at all. They are very tiny seeds, therefore have tiny sprouts, so I recommend either bottom-watering, or using the stream option on a spray bottle and spray the dirt around them rather than hitting the babies. I used peat pellets in a starter tray with a dome lid.

Very disappointed.
Seeds were on heat the whole time and not on grew. Very disappointed.

Heating pad is the key, for germination or straight planting.
Almost all of mine popped, both the germinated ones and the ones straight planted-- but the other reviewers are right, heating pad made them pop in both situations, no activity until heat was applied, so I get why some had mixed results, I imagine there would be some result with longer time and no heat but with heat it was about a week or so, maybe a bit longer. That being said the ones I transplanted from germination only a couple lived to seedling whereas the ones straight up from soil survived better (maybe leave them in the towel a bit longer before moving) though separating and potting the seedlings from the soil was easy enough and the seedlings are sturdy. (on both scenarios they got at least 24 hours in the fridge, the germinated ones on a towel and the straight planted ones just sat in a tray with no soak)On the soil planting I put 3 per planting and out of 8 pots 3 of them had more than one and they all had one minimum, and in the paper towel method like 14 out of 17 sprouted, though like I said only a few of the paper towel germinations came up after soiling, I think I moved them too quickly so, let them get a bit bigger in the towel maybe for better success.Overall these sprouted really well and are starting well, they are definitely eucalyptus and I am hoping they are in fact the advertised Rainbow variety, CZ Grain seems to be the most reputable person to get it from on amazon, I will be watching them grow in anticipation of the reddish stems and edges that I believe are more associated with the rainbow kind.EDIT: So, they are now exhibiting the red features that confirm it is the correct Rainbow Eucalyptus species! Very pretty! So, if you got your seed pack from czgrain like me than you are probably good-to-go!

Seeds were duds
I tried soil with a heat pad and also tried germinating the seeds with a wet paper towel. Nothing worked. Waste of money.

A very small bag of tiny seeds
I guess I was expecting something larger, but I received exactly what I ordered. I am looking forward to getting these seeds in the soil and see what happens. My advice for others, manage your expectations... it's a very small bag of tiny seeds with a pretty picture on the packaging.

Better than expected!
After reading so many bad reviews about the seeds never germinating, I was reluctant to purchase the seeds. After doing a little research I found that the seeds are extremely difficult for some people to get started because the lighting and temperatures aren’t right. Since the seeds didn’t cost much I figured I’d give it a shot. I ordered the grow lights and enclosure you see in the photo and kept the lights on for 12-18 hours per day over night. The seeds have been kept on my covered back deck. They were planted on Father’s Day and they germinated in less than a week! I ordered a 50 pack and I counted today (about 3 weeks after planting) and counted at least 175 germinated trees coming in. Definitely better than what I was expecting after reading the reviews.. I highly recommend these seeds and the company providing them, but also highly recommend using a grow light kit (about $40)..

Be aware: seeds are really tiny!!
I initially thought I didn't get my product! The bag looked like it had seeds at some point but someone took them before putting them in the shipping envelope. I had seen what eucalyptus seeds looked like in the past and in pictures and I did not see one in the bag. It looked empty to me! So I requested a replacement thinking I'd been taken for a fool. Well, the joke's on me because I stumbled on an article that showed an illustration of tiny, tiny seeds. It said that the seeds of the Rainbow Eucalyptus were tiny and fragile. So, I looked again and there I finally could make out the tiny seeds. So, be aware. The bag will look empty to you but in real close examination, you will see the tiny, tiny seeds in there.
