(please sing the title of this review to the tune of “catdog”)these bowls are wonderful! perfect size for a bowl of anything you want. not bulky. delicate yet sturdy. super cute cat with a bell in the bowl! i got these in blue and pink and i’m now adding coordinating items as well! definitely recommend!

I ordered four of these adorable bowls and all four arrived safe and sound. They were quite well packaged and it would've taken a gorilla to damage them en route.The bowls themselves have a great heft and feel to them. They hold a generous portion of ramen, donburi, pho, or even homemade New England style clam chowder. The design is colorfast and is absolutely SQUEE-inspiring with the whimsical cat motif which even carries on to the bows' exteriors.The only downside is that Amazon placed a product identifying sticker on the outside of each bowl whose adhesive seems to have been forged in the snottiest doom-pits of the stickiest mucus demons ever to walk the mucilaginous underworld! I tried the dishwasher, multiple solvents, stiff brushes, and more to get that residue off! It took WEEKS.WEEKS.

I love this bowl. I needed a bigger noodle/salad bowl, and this adorable bowl is exactly that.Two concerns:- it looks like it could have used a thicker coating of whatever glaze was used to finish it... I tried to capture this in the photo, but parts of the inside of this bowl are smooth to the touch, while other parts have a lattice texture. My inner germophobe worries about the possibility of harboring bacteria if i don't scrub it thoroughly enough.- this is the true reason for losing a star: I have no idea why companies insist on driving their customers batty by placing nasty, hard-to-cleanly-peel stickers on their products! I'm stuck with this icky residue on my beautiful bowl because of it. Hopefully it comes off eventually...

My mum had originally bought and gifted me this bowl years ago, and I loved it for soups and salads (or basically any meal)! But I recently left it in a precarious spot, so my cat knocked it down and it shattered on my tile floors. Not the bowl's fault... my own and the cat's fault.So I bought another one because I love this bowl! The delivery was faster than expected as well. Highly reccomend!! Great gift option, too.

This bowl was purchased for our granddaughter birthday. She's going to love eating soups, nodles, rice and all things Asian from this wonderful bowl. It's a well made colorful porcelain Japanese bowl that is sized right to hold a nice sized lunch or dinner. The cat design is really cute. This wonderful bowl arrived sooner than expected in very good packaging. We were very happy with this purchase and would use this seller again without hesitation.

This arrived well packed, no damage. The bowl is huge, a pro football player would get his serving out of this. In fact it might be too big for some people. The blue is deep, rich & beautiful, better than the image! I like how it is obviously made in Japan, as I bought for a gift. My first thought upon seeing it was, I want one for myself! The cat's face is only on the inside, unlike the rice bowls that have it on the side as well (a neat illusion when you tip them). However, the blue on this bowl is more dramatic. The cat's face does not look hand painted, that said it feels like quality porcelain and does not look cheap.

I told my husband he could order these for me for my Christmas present. He did, and they are perfect. The size is ideal; one of these bowls is capable of holding a whole can of Campbell's soup without spilling. Moreover, I can microwave one serving of oatmeal in one of these bowls without the oatmeal spilling over the edges (not so with my standard-size cereal bowls!). I've used them in the microwave and dishwasher for months with no problems. I ordered some matching "smiling cat" spoons from another website to complete the set. I might even get a second set of bowls.

This bowl is certainly cute with the smiling cat face looking at you, but that is not the reason that I purchased it. I have been searching everywhere for the perfect soup bowl. I wanted one that was not plastic like most of the Asian ramen bowls out there. I was looking for porcelain so that it would be lighter than other ceramics. The shape is elegant and the bowls stack. It is also excellent for any rice dish. If you like Oyakadon (Japanese scrambled egg and chicken dish) or any other curry rice type dish this is the perfect size, not too big and not too small although it is sizable enough for ramen. There is a matching cat bowl that is perfect for a small bowl of rice.
