Its definitely 100 % NOT Waterproof. I bought 3 different sizes, my dogs don't have incontinence usually, but one of them pee on the larger one covering my bed twice in the past 3 weeks and both times, the urine went right through it to the underlying cover. Not happy, as I bought it on October and I cant return it now. It'[s a nice blanket, nut NOT waterproof. The other 2 sizes I bought I use on sofa and so far I haven't been able to test them, but now I am careful and will place a real waterproof blanket under them.

Would this fit a queen size bed?

Yes, it just fits on top of my queen bed. There's no overhang, but it does cover the entire top of the bed.

Can it be used for a picnic blanket?

It is a good idea. I think it could be used outside for picnic.

Did anyone else notice a crinkle sound after they washed it as directed? My dogs refuse to lay on it now because of the noise.

My dog won’t lay on it either ! She loves blankets and is used to one being on the bed before she is allowed up . She jumped up and down in one motion. Can’t get her near it again no matter how much coaxing we do .

Nicely protected my bed from my Senior dog who occasionally leaks or sprays in the house. Didn't slid around on top of the bedspread. Easy to machine wash and dry. Did not lose its ability to block urine. Bought a different color for cosmetic reasons and gave this one to another dog owner. My small dogs had no problem with sleeping on it , walking on it, or playing with toys on it.

La compramos porque nuestra cachorra solía orinarse en un sillón. Protegia relativamente la tela del sillón, algunas veces si se traspasa. Optamos por otro tipo de medidas
