These pens write really smoothly and have a nice, consistent ink flow. The color is a deep black and shows up clearly on paper without looking faded. These are my favourite pens. I'm used to typing most of the time and can find difficulty wring legibly by hand, but I find these pens easy to write with and am able to produce a tidy version of my normal handwriting.
