An excellent replacement for the old camper watch
I wore Timex camer watches for much of my adult life. I prefer the analog wind-up versions, but they are not widely available at a reasonable price. I purchased this model for its large easy to read face and durable strap. The Indiglo feature is a bonus.

Awesome timepiece. Highly recommend
My favorite timepiece. I haven’t taken it off since I got it. Highly recommend. Great quality. Would buy again.

A Practical, Affordable, Good Looking Timepiece
I've bought three Timex Expeditions, two for myself and one as a gift. Each was a different model but from the same collection. These are all good-looking, practical watches. The faces are easy to read, and I like to read real numbers rather than Roman numerals. Moreover, the wrist bands are high quality, not cheaply made. If you take the watch and place it close to your ear, you will hear a sound that says -- Here is a well-made marvel of engineering. Finally, these watches take nickel-sized CR2016 batteries, so you are likely to get at least a couple of years of service before having to switch it out. In my opinion, the Timex Expedition delivers solid value for your hard-earned money.

Good Watch For The Money
This watch is exactly what it is described as. Nothing fancy, but a good watch. Likes - Lightweight and low profile. Keeps good time. The contrast of white hands/numbers on the black face make it really easy to read in almost any light plus it has Indiglo. Dislikes - My only dislike is it's lack of durability. Because the crystal is plastic instead glass, it scratches easily. I've had this watch for about a month and it's already gotten several scratches. Would I buy it again? NO.

Perfection
It’s a basic watch, time and date, nothing fancy. It looks great and is lightweight. It’s easy to tell what time it is with a quick glance and the indiglow backlighting is perfect. I’d buy it again!

Like the watch, but Timex quality control stinks
I've worn this watch or very similar models for a long time. When the last one died, I replaced it with this model. I am on my third one, about to be 4th. First example - Indigo backlight did not work when I received the watch. Second example - the backlight did not work, because you could not press the stem in to trigger the backlight. Third example - worked fine for about 90 days, but the Indiglo backlight died today. Love the watch - nice balance of size and readable dial, plus I really like the indiglo backlight which lights up the entire dial. But - Timex has to get a handle on quality control. This is nuts. UPDATED review The most recent of these watches had the indiglo backlight fail in about 7 months. Timex has a serious quality control problem. Other than the repeated failures of the indiglo backlight, I like the watch. Rugged & durable. Watrerproof. Low key, not flashy. But they have to get a handle on quality control.

Indiglo button sticks, caused premature battery drain
Love this watch but the button spring is either too weak or the button plunger bends/sticks, causing the indiglo light to stay on after bending your wrist enough to depress it and it remains depressed. It’s too dim to notice during the daytime or with lights on inside. Swapped the battery and have made it a habit to periodically pull the button out a bit with my fingernail to keep this from happening. The indiglo actually stopped working on the first watch, with only a very small (1mm diameter) dim light near the bottom of the watch face when depressing the button, even with a new battery, but the watch still functions otherwise. They’re cheap enough and I like the watch style, simplicity, and price enough to have bought another since this purchase in 2019, but the new one suffers from the same issue and needed a premature battery replacement also. The date feature has also recently stopped working and won’t change. Maybe I’m too hard on them, wearing while doing mechanic work and yard work, etc. and sometimes hitting/catching it on hard parts and objects; also frequently bending my wrist enough to hit the button. I would think a field watch would be made to handle all of that, but I digress… Maybe a stiffer spring or tougher plunger/shaft would remedy this. Hope Timex sees this, but maybe it’s not cost effective enough to address this issue. Just something to keep in mind! Haven’t found another field watch I like to try out instead and still wear the newer one daily! New one still keeps time and indiglo still works, just not the date.

Good for the price
I bought this watch to temporarily replace a Swiss Army watch my wife got me and I've had for almost 30 years. It just has oodles of sentimental value and it's been a great watch. But it wasn't keeping good time anymore. Cleaning it was going to be expensive. Buying a new one, slightly less so. But I needed a watch, and while I dithered over what to do, Amazon sent me one of their prompts that asked me that based on my search history if I might me interested in this Timex version of my watch. Amazon does creep me out sometimes, but this was right on point. I liked the recommendation - especially at this price! The easy to read face and fonts were almost identical to my Swiss Army watch, so I got it. My only complaint is the band is a bit too long and stiff. My only other complaint . . . and this is no one's fault . . . ever since the Timex arrived, my old Swiss Army watch has been keeping perfect time. Arrrgghhh!
