Nice Quality
I fell in love with lotus when celebrating Tet in Vietnam, yes, during the war. At the time, people told me the seeds are an aphrodisiac, but I experienced no such responses to them. About a year ago, I obsessed over getting some really good lotus seeds but only found shippers in Asia who did not want to export them. Last month, I ordered three different types on Amazon. These are the best of the three, no doubt about it. They are puffed and very bland and chewy unless you roast them. Last night, I found some excellent recipes on youtube and am inspired now to learn different methods of using them. I have a medical motivation so plan to become really creative here. No, the motivation is not to become more amorous but rather to put an end to a complication from radiation exposure after Fukushima. Some people are eating lotus instead of popcorn. I find the seeds even more bland, but a lot easier on the teeth since the sharp pieces of popcorn are a hazard for people with dental and even gastrointestinal issues. Besides, finding truly organic, non-GMO popcorn takes some research. Lotus seeds are so bland that you can do anything from a salty snack to a spicy curry to a sweet dessert, Enjoy!

Great popcorn alternative!
This is my new popcorn replacement since discovering I have a corn allergy. I was eating popped sorghum, but it's so tiny you have to use a spoon, which ruined the eating experience for me after a while. Makhana is kinda soft when you get it, so to crisp it up like popcorn, I toast mine in a toaster oven on high until crunchy (5 mins?), then dump butter, white cheddar, and salt on it, and I'm pretty satisfied.

Good I think
I purchased these because they seemed like a healthy snack alternative. I tossed them in olive oil, s&p then threw in my air fryer. They were crispy and nice but had a weird flavor. Some were strong than others. I canโt put my finger on it but it was a bit funky. If thatโs how theyโre supposed to be then I could get past it and Iโd order again. I canโt find anything on google so I guess Iโll never know.

Mehhhh
I'm allergic to corn so someone suggested I give this a try. Didn't find this satisfying at all. Bland actually, with a funny aftertaste. Disappointed, esp. for $11. ๐

Tasty
I roasted them in a pan with olive oil and added a little salt. They were mighty tasty; however, I developed mouth blisters the next day. I am allergic to certain nuts but not to seeds. Are these nuts or seeds?
