Works great since ‘09!
I bought this in 2009 and have used it a TON. I’m just now needing to replace the hose because I bent the connector somehow. This thing is a champ and a half.

Ontel Air Hawk Pro Automatic Cordless Tire Inflator Portable Air Compressor
I had recently sold my air compressor when we moved from our old home. I quickly found that how important it is to have a compressor around for every day needs or in an emergency. I saw this product advertised on tv and decided to order it from Amazon. I received the product in two days. Good thing, because my son-in-law need to add air to his tires when he and my daughter came to visit when it came time for them to leave. We would have to drive to the gas station and pay for the air. The Air Hawk pressured up the tires in a few minutes and up to the required pressure. I used the auto pressure set on the tool to ensure that all the tires were at the same pressure. I verified the pressure with a air gauge and it was accurate to within .5 lbs. Excellent product, good price and excellent value.

Decent and Useful Tool
The Air Hawk is easy to use and is great for all needs - sports, bikes, car tires, etc. I enjoy its portability and flexibility (able to use a battery or car power adapter). The device itself works well but feels a little shoddy at times. The plastic on mine has come apart multiple times and has had to be squeezed back together...nothing major. I am also rating it four stars, because of its usage recommendations. The device is recommended for "indoor use only" and should not be "stored in temperatures above 120 F." This is a problem for where I live, since I wanted to keep it in my car. I wish it was rated for higher temps and slightly more durable. Overall, I recommend the product.

Handy Tool
I charged the unit per instructions and topped off my car. I used a separate digital pressure gauge to check before and after pressures. I previously used a similar unit , Bulbhead Air Dragon , a 12V plug in powered inflator so I was familiar with the limitations and uses of this type of device. I do like not having to plug in the cord each time which is I bought this unit. I use this only for topping up my tire pressure before a trip and also for my bicycle. With the corded models , bicycle tires were a problem because I needed a 12V source of power. I found the Bulbhead Air Dragon to be very useful and I am hoping this Air Hawk Pro performs as well with the added benefit of the cordless feature. So my first impression is that it is a nice unit. I will come back and revisit this review if it fails to meet my expectations and hopes.

Air Hawk Upgrade... works seamlessly!
My item was actually upgraded to the "Max" version, which includes a 20" long air hose instead of the 5" long air hose included with the "Pro". I tested my Air Hawk Max tire inflator and found it be simple to use and works fantastic... Just as described! And the customer service is great. I had a question about the difference between the "Pro" (discontinued) and the "Max" and they responded within the same day. Turns out the "Max" is an upgraded version of the "Pro". They even offered me a return if I wasn't satisfied with the product. I am very satisfied with the "Max" version, and really appreciate the extra length for the air hose. That is a handy improvement! Thank you for this improved version of the Air Hawk, and your courteous customer service!!!

Don't Waste Your Money
I should have paid better attention to the reviews on this POS air pump. I used this twice, or at least tried. The first use was very good, so I was encouraged. The second attempt, the battery ran out of charge. So fine, I charged the battery. Once fully charged, tried to use it, light came on, air pump started and then everything shut down. Bottom line, the battery is not only a POS, it doesn't hold a charge. Before any people start asking if I charged/trained the battery properly, Yes I did. Being a chemical engineer, I know the process of properly "training" a chargable battery. Also, the battery weight is very light, just another indication on how cheap this POS is. To be sure the issue was in the portable battery, I did use the 12V battery, the one that only works if it's plugged into a 12V outlet, and the unit worked fine. I bought this for it's portability, not to be tied down to only vehicles with 12V outlets! Again, save your money, this is pure junk!

Get it
Love my vertical compressor never failed to get the job done, but loud as hell and takes 10 mins to air up! Need a faster solution especially if ya only need something quick. I seen the review for the cordless compressor but what got me was you can adjust to how much air ya need. I did all 4 of my tires on my vehicle and yes the noisy compressor is quicker, the cordless compressor had it beat because I didn’t have to wait for compressor to air up! It comes with a dc battery that has a plug for your cigarette lighter for constant power(faster and more efficient than regular battery) the length on that wire may have a hard time reaching rear tires for trucks, but is fine for suvs and cars. Perfect for emergency applications for flat tires and kids with balls that need air(comes with inflator needles)

A little over-priced for what it actually is capable of doing well
1) The connection from the air compressor to the hose is adequate, snug and does work, but I wonder if it will last as this unit gets older, and used. There are no screw threads on the female end of where the hose connects to the air nosil. It is pressure-connected with the red plastic ring, and a rubber air-tight grommet that seals with torque-pressure. This works, but for how long? It just struck me as being not the usual. 2) For almost $60.00 U.S. dollars, do you think the hose could be any shorter? Is there a shortage of air compressor hose in the world? I suppose there were engineering considerations. The compressor is, in my opinion, weak...just barely enough to push air into a auto tire, and apparently not too much more, as I can stop the air flow out of the hose with my thumb, quite easily, and without hurting my thumb! On the caption for the AirHawk website it claims " Powerful Air Compressor Technology". Well powerful by who's judgement, measurements, and I guess I should add, compared to what? My lungs? 3) The AirHawk did, however, let me fill up the tire on my 1997 Ford Taurus from a total flat. It took almost ten minutes to do so (in the commercial video clip on the website you will notice is discloses "timelapse photography". The caption is a flat out lie when it claims " Inflates any tire in just seconds". By the way ten minutes x 60 is 600 seconds. So yes, many, many seconds! It's a misleading line the likes of that old Monty Python skit about the one-inch sting. ... Maybe a tire for a circus mouse tricycle in just a (few) seconds? The digital metered gauge said the tire was at 35psi, but the tire still looked low with air compared to the other tires I know where at correct max air pressure. I also know the tire I was filling also doesn't have a leak in it. The previous compressor that I tried to use was broken, thus the tire lost air. The AirHawk did inflate the tire enough for me to be able to get the car on the road without having to drive on the rim, ...enough to eventually drive the vehicle to a service station's air. (something that the clip off the website claims I don't have to do anymore. That is two strikes "X,X" you are about to be "Gonged." ref: Chuck Berry, THE GONE SHOW, AirHawk.) 4) The hose, and the metal hose fitting at the tire connection where so hot, I burnt my fingers removing the hose screwed to the tire eye after running the AirHawk for ten minutes, (or 600 seconds), whichever time-measurement you choose to calculate by. Don't piss me off, it's all the same long, ten, hOt minutes, AirHawk people. The plastic drill-like unit also heated up a lot after ten minutes of struggling to fill the auto tire. - - I mean it got noticeably, HoT! 5). In one of the commercials for the AirHawk on tv, the narrator says something to the effect that it's a great tool too keep in your car in case of need and/or they show a woman putting the AirHak into the tire well of her car. Whichever is memory-recall appropriate. But right on the rechargeable battery it says, " Remove battery from tool when storing, changing attachments or making adjustments. "Avoid storing battery in car" ". The AirHawk comes with a 12volt cigarette-type dummy battery adapter for use in the car, but in the commercial, they show a woman putting the AirHawk in the car for later emergency use?. Unknown if that is the battery or the adapter? I'm sure someone will have to go and video edit now for HDTV 50 inches of HDTV screen or above? 6) I will probably keep this unit, but, in my opinion, if I had to do it again, I would just rebuy the last $15.00 mini-air compressor w/anaolog air meter from Harbor Freight tools until that one again gets old, and stops working. I think the AirHawk may be just a extremely bare minimum tool to get out of a mess with a flat auto tire that doesn't have a big leak in it, good for smaller instances like bike tires, and inflating sports balls, and maybe even air beds, but I would not buy one again in the future knowing what I know about the AirHawk, sepcially for, in my opinion, a over-priced a-bit tool, for it's real capabilities. Let's face it, cars suck when they are laid up, and it always happens at expense, and there is no good time to be stuck. I'de save the money on this tool, and pass.

Great
This little pump packs a punch. Two great options to power it. I bought to have in emergency of course n it just so happened I needed it last month for daily use for a couple of weeks. Tire had a slow leak which I couldn't get any garage to fix it for over 2 weeks . So I used it to fill the tire daily. Flawless operation
