My hubby was Mr. T for Halloween and this was a perfect vest! Fit as expected and very inexpensive with fast shipping!

I bought this vest for an 80s party a few months ago, and was not that disappointed with the quality for the money I paid.The vest actually fit me well (bought largest size for a 250 pound guy), which was promising. Denim material is solid and I like the little rip accents it has. I like the LOOK of the vest.The big complaint I have is that the buttons sewn are really, REALLY cheap. The plastic buttons actually jingled when I walked around, which was so annoying I had to go remove them and sew on new buttons. Now, the vest is perfect, but it desperately needed the modification.The vest loses a couple stars for the cheap buttons they used, but otherwise is nice.

A friend wanted to do a theme for Halloween around taking your favorite character and reimagining them as an 80's yearbook photo. Since I had the machete, I picked up the leather bracelets, a mullet wig, a hockey mask, and this awesome vest and came up with a great costume. I believe I was voted Best Camp Councilor and Biggest Class Cut-Up. While this was bought for a costume, it was bought to be used as a normal vest whenever I want one, and it looks great.

The quality of this vest is surprisingly good. The material is quite heavy and seems well constructed. I am 6'1'', 180 lbs, and ordered my normal size (large) and it fits as expected. If you are a person that prefers that loose/baggy look (ugh), order a size larger.I have two complaints: 1) The vest appears to have been previously warn, as the tag had been cut off and placed back in the bag. And also the tag on the fabric containing the washing instructions had been cut off and was missing. I'm sure someone wore it for a party or something and returned it, cheap ***. 2) The buttons rattle constantly, which is mildly annoying.However, this was purchased for an 80s party, and as a result it's really a novelty item that will get thrown into the Halloween box probably never to be worn again, so I guess I can't complain. Not something I would wear outside of that context personally.Just FYI: I would wash it separately from your normal laundry, unless you want stray denim fabric from the ripped/pre-distressed bits all over everything.
