First pair was good, all other pairs after, junk!
I made my first purchase of the BMW logo lights and they send me the M lights. No big deal, quick exchange. Second set of lights that came back were and still are flawless. So I decided to order a second pair for the rear door.. well... that's where the 1 star comes in. I think this is the 4th order I have received and fixing to return because they do NOT match the first good pair I received. The logo is either blurry, too small, or egg shaped. With that said, I am done with purchasing from this company. These lights are very inconsistent in quality. I posted a picture of the good pair I installed on my BMW 750li. Like I said, the first BMW logo pair I purchased are truly great, everything after was a disappointment.

Great out of the box but 2 months later all 4 sets purchased are worthless
After driving a rental X5 for a couple of weeks that had the logo lights from the factory I searched online for them to put in my X5. Initially, I bought 1 set to try out, not believing that the price could be that much less than the dealership and still be of quality. It took a while to receive them (not available on prime at the time) and I was pleasantly surprised at the image quality once installed. Excited I purchased 3 more sets (1 more for the front doors of my X5 and 2 sets for my 525 all on prime). On arrival each of these I as again ecstatic about the image quality. After 3 weeks, one of the lights from the first set that I installed on the X5 started to blur and fade. a few days later the other side just stopped working. over the 5 weeks, 7 of the 8 lights I had purchased had some sort of defect (not working, flickering, blurred or faded) leaving me with no choice but to reinstall the stock bulbs thus wasting a bunch of money on these. The concept is nice but the longevity is just not there to make these a reasonable purchase

Works as advertised very cool clear image .. but handle with care its very delicate until installed.
Very easy to install (2011 X5). The fit is a bit tight but works well, very clear image is projected.Minus 2 stars for delicate assembly design that must be handled very carefully. The image ground projection can be adjusted if its not correct initially .. but .. be very very careful when adjusting the projection or the assembly may fall apart. All 4 are now installed and working properly. Its a simple and very visually cool add to your car ... just handle with care.

Best of the bunch
Back in September 2017, I picked up the iCakper Projection Door Shadow LED Lamps.Since the original factory door lamp modules (part 63 31 6 972 605) are identical between my 2013 E70 X5 and 2013 F25 X3, I wasn't too worried the iCakper Door Shadow Lamps shouldn't work on the F25 even though it wasn't initially in their description listing.Once delivered, the iCakper housing looked to have similar dimensions in the fit areas where it counted. Though not 100% watertight, the original factory modules looked considerably more weather-resistant. I wouldn't pin much hopes on the iCakper modules surviving if water somehow pooled in the door cavity -- though this should be super-rare since these modules reside moreso in the cabin side of the weather seal once the doors are shut. The module itself seems to be adequately assembled. The projector barrel has a turret lever that permits rotating the logo for setting the orientation once the door is fully ajar. This is powered by a Cree LED which itself is mounted to a sort of heat sink assembly. All these parts are clipped into place by the black housing. While the plug interface doesn't initially look compatible with the factory, it WILL fit when oriented properly WITHOUT having to bend the two pins. Before final installation check the logo orientation and swap modules as necessary. The iCakper modules I bought in September 2017 projected with some decent illumination. The logo was visible once the skies start darkening -- say, 7pm on a midwest summer evening. Once into the full swing of night, the intensity and clarity of the logo comes through nicely... certainly far nicer than the cost of these modules would suggest. Four months after installing these on my daily driver, the illumination and sharpness has remain unchanged.Having seen images of the Roundel logos from iCakper's competition, the others have a flat look with bezel and font proportions that look like they traced it from a 1960's iteration. (Google 'BMW Roundel evolution' to see examples) The ones on my iCakper distinctly shows edge highlights and a shadow gradient. IOW, a more modern-day Roundel for a modern vehicle. An identical set of iCakper lamps were installed under the front doors of our 2013 X5. As it's a slightly taller vehicle all around, the longer projection distance to the ground causes to logo to grow a bit larger. The thickness of an X5 door also means the projection is entirely unobstructed. In the attached X3 pictures, you'll note that a tiny bit of the Roundel top is clipped off. This is caused by the sheet metal tucking a bit underneath to meet the rocker panel. This likely can be remedied by simply padding one edge of the door's rectangular mounting hole with a layer or two of electrical tape.In all, this product delivered on the functionality and aesthetics it promised. Delaying this review for 4 months to let them get battered by weeks of autumn rain followed by a recent week of zero-degree arctic blast has yet to affect the ones installed on my rides. I hope it sees enough sales volume to avoid getting the Amazon listing here undermined by some 3rd party vendor switching a shoddier copy in its place. That would be tragic for the value these are currently providing.

This was super easy to install
This was super easy to install. Both sides took me about 5 minutes to install including comparing the old & new lamps and taking photos! I used a small flat bladed screwdriver to pop out the old lamps. You pry them out on the hinge side of the door. I put these on a 2015 X3 so I would estimate 2016 and 2017 are good as well (all those years are the Lifecycle Impulse - LCI). I just ordered two more for the rear doors. I can't say how long they will hold up as I just put them on 10 minutes ago. For reference, the last photo has the old lamp on the left and the new one on the right.

Brilliant night time thrill!
Casts a brilliant hologram on the ground at night and reveals its pattern inside the car on the floor under each door for a two-minute interval with the door closed. Passengers love them. It's the first thing they see.My 1996 BMW had the 100 mm lights which do not match these devices, however you can clip off the old-style large Molex connector and solder in a smaller one to update it. The width on the new lights is a perfect fit so you can snap them into the light unit opening and then secure them in place by swaging a 1" crosspiece of wood or plastic to secure it in the door socket.

Fits and works as advertised.
I absolutely love these! Easy to install and fit perfectly. Needed a small screwdriver to pry the tab over to remove the OEM light. It took a bit to orient the plug to the projector but take your time and you will see that it only fits one way. The projector lens is adjustable so you can orient the display to your preference. The display is bright and everyone comments on how cool it looks. Easy to install, fits perfect and a great way to personalize your vehicle.
