Add to home cooked pet food, dog and cat. Cats must have taurine in the diet as they can not produce naturally. Most food we feed cats is too low in taurine (commercial cat food has minimal amount recommended). If your cat has low energy try adding some taurine to food daily, you may find a new cat! It's safe also as extra is excreted in urine/feces, no toxicity to the body in recommend amounts. Dogs also can benefit from taurine especially if they have heart issues. Best you check with vet before adding to a heart issues dog diet. But again it's generally safe excreted safely from the body via urine/feces

I brought this for my cats to help with their digestion and for allergies. I am able to put the food and easy digestion.

I just have to trust that the product is as advertised. The breeder of my high-end cats said it was important to supplement even their expensive canned cat food with a sprinkle for kidney health of the cats. It has no scent and the cats eat it easily. Assuming you are not feeding cheap, substandard food, it just takes a tiny pinch per meal to be enough. No need to measure, because any excess will be excreted in the urine. Wish I had known about this for my earlier cats whose lives were shortened with kidney problems by sticking to the “healthy” food my FORMER vet sold.
