Sturdy, good led control, smooth writing
One of the best mechanical pencils I have used. Sturdy, led moves smoothly and I like the rotation. Compared to a similar plastic one this is more than worth the slightly higher price.

Best pencil I've ever used
I guess I'll start off by saying I'm a bit of a pencil connoisseur. I've bought plenty of nice pens and pencils, most with some novelty like Dr Grip or Zebra Delguard, and I bought this pencil as a replacement for an old, cheaper Kuru Toga I had used for about a year. Although I purchased this simply as an addition to my collection, since I received this I have hardly used anything else. First let me say that Kuru Toga pencils have the best output. It's very difficult nowadays for me to go back to other pencils which result in broader lead strokes, especially when I'm using it for subjects such as physics and calculus where I'm constantly scribbling out tiny symbols and equations. The rotating tip in these pencils significantly does allow for a finer pencil stroke (and incidentally saves lead and paper space). Bearing that in mind, this particular pencil is the perfect version of the Kuru Togas. I love everything about it. This pencil has a bit of weight to it, which most mechanical pencils lack. That's not to say it's uncomfortable though. The mechanism in the tip adds enough weight to perfectly balance the pencil right in the center of where it's gripped, and I have literally written hours upon hours nonstop with it in complete comfort. On top of that, the pencil looks absolutely amazing. The shaft is matted black plastic that looks like metal and looks sleek and cool, while the grip is textured and feels and looks great. Everything about it is cool and has a unique aura of class and sophistication. My only little irrelevant complaint is that the window which shows the tip spinning is rather small (most other Kuru Togas have windows which wrap around the pencil so you can perpetually see the logo spinning as you write). However, this just adds to the subtlety which makes this pencil so fashionably great. So, this pencil is perfect. It feels great, it looks great, and it performs great. The last Kuru Toga I had has lasted now for more than a year, and the quality of this pencil is so fantastic I expect to be using it for years to come. It is absolutely perfect.

More Consistent High Quality Mechanical Pencil
I use this mechanical pencils in school for high quality writing that looks neat consistent without the need to constantly sharpen. (which is why I use mechanical pencils over standard wooden pencils) This mechanical pencil fulfills this need, some other lower quality pencils I use just don’t do the job as well as the Uni Kuru Toga Roulette. Pros - The build quality is great - The grip is surprisingly comfortable - The spinning lead feature is good - The design is very nice Cons - Writing in cursive doesn’t spin the lead - You need to press a little bit harder to spin the lead Firstly I will state the obvious the build quality is great, and the design of it is slim and sleek without unnecessary parts protruding out. The grip as well feels comfortable as well which I thought wouldn’t be the case after writing for several hours, however I was wrong. However you don’t by this pencil just for the build quality you buy this pencil with the rotating lead in mind. Which I think is implemented finely, however the system isn’t perfect. For instance for cursive writers the spinning of the lead wouldn’t always actuate, and for people who write normally you do need to apply slightly more pressure than just putting the pencil on paper. (You could probably get used to it overtime) Overall if you’re looking to buy this pencil to have consistent writing I think it is a great buy the spinning lead whilst not perfect definitely does as advertised and the build quality is very nice. I would definitely recomend this to people who want a high quality mechanical pencil that lasts long, and people who want an extra layer of consistency to their handwriting. As for people who write a lot cursive I don’t think it is a deal breaker that the lead won’t always spin after every letter (mainly because it would still spin after every word, and the pencil still feels great) however due to the price I would maybe consider other similar quality options. TL DR High quality, designed well, feels comfortable, writes consistently. No huge cons, but takes a little bit of time to adjust the amount of pressure when pressing on the paper when writing to turn the lead, and cursive writers don’t benefit as much from the design.

A Mechanical Pencil That Truly Stands Out
This is, hands down, the best mechanical pencil I’ve ever used. The Uni Core Keeps Sharp – Roulette Model feels like a premium writing tool from the moment you pick it up. The all-metal body has a perfect weight and balance to it solid but not heavy making it incredibly comfortable for long writing or sketching sessions. The real star, though, is the “Kuru Toga” mechanism. It actually rotates the lead as you write, so the tip stays sharp and consistent, reducing breakage and keeping your writing neat. I was skeptical at first, but it really works and makes a noticeable difference, especially if you write a lot. The knurled metal grip adds a professional touch and gives you full control without slipping. It’s become my go-to pencil for both work and drawing, and I’ve already recommended it to several friends. If you're someone who values build quality, performance, and thoughtful design in your writing tools, this mechanical pencil is 100% worth it.

Good
So I like this pencil, I’m approaching having it for a year, and it’s served me really well. It writes really nicely, and it has great stability, and the lead the never breaks, and since it rotates while writing you never have that sharp lead piece, If you know what I’m talking about. The eraser for a lack of better words, bad. It’s incredibly small, and it only would last someone a week at most. That’s pretty much what it lasted me. I had to purchase a set of another erasers. But that’s fine. The thickness is pretty small, especially since it takes .5 lead, but I’ve bought a pack of a thousand for less than 10 dollars. And the small writing isn’t a problem. It’s really a solid pencil, and it’s easy to use, you never have to worry about it jamming in the year I’ve almost had it, it’s never once jammed. Since it is a bit pricey you will be more inclined to keep it. I feel I have saved more money than me nothing having this pencil, I would frequently lose pencils, but the price obviously doesn’t make that an option. And you can always buy less lead, and less erasers. Overall I do recommend this pencil, if you can trust yourself not loose it. I feel I can keep this pencil for the years to come.

This will be the last pencil you ever buy!
This pencil is awesome. I'm a huge fan of the plastic kuru toga you can get at retail stores. After about 3 semesters of use the plastic version finally cracked near the grip and I decided it was time for an upgrade. I bought this metal version hoping for a pencil that will outlive my college years, and I think I chose wisely. First of all, the pencil looks really good. It has a great feel and the weight is perfect. The biggest thing that surprised me was that only the bottom half of the pencil is metal. The bottom half feels to be aluminum, but about halfway us the body, a small chrome ring tapers the pencil down to a slightly smaller diameter, and the rest of the body is plastic. At first I was disappointed in this fact, but I found that this allows the pencil to be bottom heavy, and extremely comfortable to use for extended periods of time. I also own a Pentel GraphGear 1000, (which broke after a couple weeks of use) and it's all metal frame made it top heavy and uncomfortable to use for after a short period of time. There are no such problems with this version. The grip is dimpled aluminum, and it's surprisingly comfortable and doesn't irritate your skin. This is nice because I had problems with the GraphGear irritating my fingers after holding it for too long. There is a metal clip at the top, which I won't use, but it looks nice. The cap stays on much more securely than the plastic versions, and it looks a little better. The eraser is just awful (just like the plastic version!) but if you get a small standalone eraser you'll fix that problem permanently. I recommend doing this regardless of the pencil you're using. Overall, this pencil is definitely the best I've ever used. It's so incredibly comfortable and is very easy to write with. Extended writing periods are a breeze and my lead stays sharp and clean at all times. For anyone complaining (or worried) about the slight retraction of the tip when you press down, I don't know what else you would expect from an auto-rotating pencil. The retraction is not even noticeable to me at this point, and I find the retraction is WAY easier to deal with than having to manually rotate my pencil every couple words in order to prevent my lead from breaking. Find me an auto-rotating pencil that doesn't have a slight retraction of the tip and at the same price point, and I'll take this back, but you need to stop complaining, This is a seriously cool piece of engineering that provides a very convenient luxury with a very tiny sacrifice. In my eyes, there's nothing to complain about in this pencil.

After two years, it is the best writing utensil I've ordered
I am pretty vocal about my writing supplies. I need the right pens, paper, pencils, whatever. I write long-hand and I do it a lot. I have dozens of hand-written notebooks filled from cover-to-cover. Over the years, I've written with some of the best pens on the market and have tried dozens of pencils looking for the best one. I had almost given up hope, but two years ago, I bought this one. This pencil is by far the best I've used for writing notes. I have tiny, precise handwriting and this thing never lets me down. I even prefer it over pen these days. The only downside to this pencil is that I'm not a fan of a knurled grip, but that was easily overcome. I also should say, as far a knurl goes, this one is pretty smooth. If you like something like the knurl on a Zebra F-701, this one might not be "grippy" enough for you. I have used this pen with various 0.5 mm leads, but the Uni Kura Toga lead is by far the best for use with it. I recommend snagging up some extras. Because the lead will stay sharp, your lead will probably last longer than you're used to with a mechanical pencil, but you don't want to run out. Another down point for some may be the eraser. Like most mechanical pencils the eraser is meh. But, I've always treated it like an emergency only tool anyway. I carry a stick eraser with me at all times anyway. If you have tiny handwriting like I do, you can't do better.

Best mechanical pencil I’ve owned.
Excellent quality and the "keep sharp" feature actually works. It is comfortable, durable, and looks great. Highly recommend!
