I bought this for my son's 4th birthday and he absolutely loves it. So do I. So does his grandfather. The dog and cat don't mind it. His mother could do without something flying around the house but tolerates it because it's harmless. :) Flight time is around 8 minutes and charge time is around an hour, which is not bad. Gives just enough of a break from the whirring sound to make usage tolerable for parents. As a programmer I'm fascinated by just how much tech and logic is packed into such a small, inexpensive toy. Once it starts flying it spins and scans for close objects, ceilings, floors, dogs, kids, etc. and once sensed, the spinning stops and it moves a few feet away from whatever it was too close to before starting its spin/scan mode again. If it gets into a situation where it's just bumping into way too many things, it shuts down and harmlessly drops to the floor rather than cause problems. It weighs practically nothing and the casing keeps fingers from contacting the propellers. This is a great little no-brainer of a toy for just about any age. If someone is tall enough to drop the thing (which is how it turns on), they're old enough to use and enjoy it.

Update: Very Quick response from seller, they offered and sent my son a replacement. No issues with the new hover drone and my son loves this toy! The seller was very responsive. They checked in every step and ensured that a replacement was delivered! Very happy with this seller and changed my initial review from 2 Stars to 5 Stars. First Review: Worked briefly then easily broke. Propeller came off and cage broke.

My kids love to play with this drones, and also we got 2 more orders to surprise their cousins and they love it too.

We bought this drone for my son's 8th birthday. It charges pretty quickly but only lasts for a few minutes. It was hysterical watching everyone scream and duck as this thing flew all over the room. All the kids (and adults) had fun making it change directions by placing their hands near it. Great toy for the price.

We just ordered this little saucer a few days ago. My 5 yr old grandson LOVED it. Past tense. It worked a little to well. We played with it in the backyard. He was having so much fun. It would go up a six feet or so and come right back down. We took in the frontyard and let it go. I started for my hollering for my wife and started laughing. All 3 of us watched in amazement as it cleared the upper atmosphere and head into deep space never to be seen again. My little one did not think it was so funny. He and I came to immediately ordered another one. It was so cool to watch go. Needless to say, the next one will be for inside use ONLY. Great day.
