Knew this was going to a rough ride..but definitely wasn't expecting this!!!
This book is by far the hardest book to review because after reading it...I m left speechless and wanting for more..Definitely a 5 star read from a Masochist like me..It has leave me with all this rushing emotions...I don't know if I should cry...or scream..the emotions are all over the place...Danni has been through a rough heartbreak but after much time and work she comes out the other side but not unscathed. She is still carrying the scars of her past when she stumbled upon a hot dashing businessman who offers her job as a dancing lady in his hotel. But she refuses his offer and makes him work for it. They fell in love but the past never ceases to stop injuring her already wounded soul.."HE" is back...This is my best..best ..best love triangles read in like ..ever...The angst..the pain...heartbreak...just pulls you in from page one and never lets you leave until you finish...and then too you are not going to be satisfied...Both of these alpha man have won my heart...they are both so much different from each other yet somewhat similar...If I can't comprehend the pain which will come after she chooses....then...I don't know what will happen to Danni...Good luck girl. You will need it...

A flawlessly sexy and engaging EPIC unbridled love story full of angst, pain and raw passion...
I'm in panic mode at the minute. I'm trying to strategise a review where I give nothing away, yet I can coherently reiterate just how freaking incredible the Tangled Lies trilogy is. How do I even begin? I mean, from the moment I laid eyes on the blurb for the series I was sold. Hooked. I couldn't get my kindle to work quick enough to keep up with my ridiculous excitable energy and need to get into the series. The few seconds it took my kindle to open the ARC file for One Is A Promise felt like a lifetime. Seriously, the promise of utterly fooked up and complicated love was doing all sorts of crazy things to me. I don't think I've been this excited about starting a series since Helen Hardt announced the Steel Brothers Saga or K.A. Linde's Wright Family series and Natasha Knight's Amado Brothers... Basically, I knew that this was going to be a series that was going to change my favourites list drastically. I could feel the angst and apprehension bubbling away in my veins, under my skin, threatening to blow my heart and mind to pieces... just from the motherfracking blurb!!!I first encountered Pam Godwin through Aleatha Romig's Infidelity world. Incentive was, in my opinion, the standout of all the books in that project. It had me glued to it from beginning to end and from that sole experience I knew that I had to get myself more acquainted with Pam's books as a whole. So when I got the opportunity to review the Tangled Lies trilogy, I couldn't turn it down. I am so glad that I didn't because this series just blew my mind. It had everything that a taboo romance should have. To be honest, this series is the definition of true and tantalising taboo romance. Not to mention that it is the best love triangle trope that I have ever read. Move aside Edward and Jacob, we're done! There are so many layers to this incredible story, not to mention that each book takes heartbreaking pain to a whole new level... you think that you can't hurt more than you already do for these three individuals who are victims of love, fate and circumstance, but Pam Godwin just manages to turn it up another five or ten notches that leave you feeling emotionally crippled and without the ability to make coherent thoughts or build strong enough walls around you so that the impact isn't as debilitating as it is. If you think that you can withstand anything, anyone... you clearly haven't been pulled under by this trilogy yet.As I said before, this is a really hard series to review in depth without giving away any spoilers. So I'm trying to discuss the impact that it had on my emotions and psyche, in the hopes that you can grasp the brilliance of the plot and the talent which brought it to life. You see, I just don't think that enough credit can actually be given to Pam for her phenomenal writing talent. Her ability to take this from a once in a lifetime read to a life and thought altering experience is out of this world. Her plot progression and character development are flawless and her writing is raw and awing. She has a knack for delivering punch after punch and still keeping you on your knees begging for more.In One Is A Promise you have a heartbroken woman trying to find her way through life after her world is obliterated. Just when you think she's found peace, fate and circumstance completely poop on her again. Then in Two Is A Lie you are faced with a woman whose right and wrong faculties don't have a way of fitting into her life. She is being pulled in directions that are tearing her apart from the inside out. She is openly bleeding and there is no band-aid that can staunch every wound and laceration that love has inflicted on her. But what takes it up to a whole new level is the destruction that hurt and pain inflict on the two people that she wants to protect. What makes this a debilitating journey is that you have these two strong, alpha men that are being brought to their knees and humbled. Who have no actual power. They are stripped bare and flayed. It's such an emotionally deep and harrowing plot that at the end that cliffhanger is just another knife to the heart because regardless of how it is built up love is love. Even if you feel it for two different individuals it is just one feeling. You can't pick between black and black, just like you can't pick between love and love. It's a lose-lose situation. No body wins. I thought that after all this I was ready for Three Is A War, but I wasn't any where near ready because all those feelings and emotions... all the turmoil from Two Is A Lie gets turned up so loud that every corner, crevice and peak of my being was vibrating with dread and anticipation. From cover to cover I was fighting with Danni's decision myself, and at the end of it all I didn't know how to truly feel because there has to be more. What comes after? How do you live with a love that is never fulfilled?Sure the plot was cunning and with deeper cut ravines than the Grand Canyon, but if it weren't for the beguiling characters... well, it would not have been the epic story that it was. You have three grounded leads that fight tooth and nail. Danni is sassy, sexy and strong. Her feelings are steadfast and she is loyal to her heart and love. She has wounds that are poked and prodded... pulled apart and ripped deeper and through it all she fights and bleeds and survives in the face of all the cruelty that life, love, fate and circumstance have thrown at her. Did I agree with every decision she made and action she took? No, I didn't. But, every single one of these characters is flawed and hurting— and we all know that a hurting heart only serves to create more hurt and pain... chaos. Trace is another perfect example of this— he is strong and steadfast, his love is deep and wide like an ocean... it knows no ifs or buts... it knows no boundaries, limits or end. He is willing to do what it takes to be the man that Danni wants and needs. He is willing to manipulate and conspire in order win and guard Danni's love. Then we have Cole, who is everything that Danni ever thought she wanted. He is so ingrained in her heart that you would think it was a no brainer to pick him— he's sexy and kind, and again, willing to fight for what his heart craves more than anything. He and Trace are two sides of the same coin. They are obviously different, opposites... but in so many ways they are so similar. I don't know which way I would go.The be all and end all is that this is an epic love story. Screw Romeo and Juliet, Christian and Anastasia... Edward, Bella and Jacob... screw them all, they have nothing on Cole, Danni and Trace. The Tangle Lies trilogy will forever remain with me, it is branded in my heart and soul and I cannot imagine my life without having been a part of this journey. I do hope there is a little something for... well, that'd be telling, and I certainly do not kiss and tell!

One is a promise- more stars are needed! 5 isn’t enough!!
This book is phenomenal. I was hooked in the pages of this book instantly.Danni is a fantastic character, perfect combination of feisty, witty, strong willed, honest but also so painfully brokenthrough the loss of her fiancé Cole. His promise to Danni that he would return to her along with Danni, are both broken. The flashbacks of Danni and Coles relationship had my heart racing! Especially their first meeting which was written in such a captivating way that I even felt attracted to Cole. Their relationship was hot and the love between them was so strong and powerful to read.I laughed out loud at Danni’s interactions with her niece Angel. Honestly these little scenes of these two together are hilarious.Danni is approached by Trace Savoy to dance in his casino and the chemistry between the two is undeniable, however Trace for some reason tries his hardest to avoid the attraction.I loved reading how much Danni’s character develops and the personal challenges she faces and overcomes.I loved that Trace finally comes to his senses and things begin to fall into place whereby Danni has said goodbye to her past and Trace admits his feelings...and then that ending happened!!I loved this book in 2017, and rereading it now...I love it even more!! For whatever strange reason, I didn’t read the second instalment 😱 so I’m going to dive into book 2 because that cliffhanger has left me so confused as to what path I want this story and which man I want Danni to pick!!Highly recommend this book to EVERYONE!

Oh good lord!....
....why? Why do this? Why have me so happy for someone and then do that?! 😢I don't know how to word this review....I read a sneak preview of it in another of Pam's books and instantly one-clicked. An upbeat happy love story and then....The one click but book starts with a different story (we do past and present) and I thought hold on a mo!So I read the blurb - yes I one clicked without even reading the blurb because everything I have read so far I have loved!! So yes, I read the blurb and thought ah crap, she's gonna tear my heart to shreds!! And that she did....Danni is a fun-loving, straight shooting, compassionate hard worker of a girl - she made me smile, I love her carefree attitude and then stuff happened, and then I realised what was going to happen and I thought, it's fine, I love Cole...she's destined to be with him, no-one can compete, and then stuff happened!! And then more stuff happened and again I was happy and then That happened....and now I'm gutted! But in the best possible way, sitting here writing this review - which probably doesn't make much sense! And my tummy is in knots, what's she going to do? What would I do? But how....Sorry, I have to end this review because I need to know what happens next!!!!!!!!!!

An addicting romance!
ONE IS A PROMISE follows Danni, a woman living in a fog since the death of her fiance, Cole, who knows she'll never find love like that again. then she meets Trace, a stubborn and intimidating man, who she quickly finds herself attracted to.I adored this!! the connection between these two was so good and I couldn't get enough of it. it was such a sexy and engaging story, and I loved the way Danni's relationships with both men were explored.I actually picked this one up for the prompt of 'least favourite trope' for the Year of Smut 2021 challenge so I was a little apprehensive going in but it turns out the hype for Pam Godwin is right because I loved this one and can't wait to continue on with this series to see where it goes next!

Promise of more
This book right here is why I read. I have been in somewhat of book funk, it wasn't that the books where bad they just weren't holding my attention, I can honestly say this was one of the first books in long while I've read without distraction. It was all down Pam Godwin and her magical writing, she tricks you almost as it doesn't feel like you're reading the work, you are living them. This is a powerful provoking story about Danni, her love and her loss, does dying break the "One Promise" of forever, that's what Cole promised until he dies on his last mission. Danni is beyond broken by his loss, they fell in love fast and those feelings just don't stop even after the loss. So when Trace enters into Danni's life can he compete with the love of a dead mans ghost? However, everything isn't what it seems, the more into the story the more you realise true love never dies, but it doesn't mean you can't move on and love someone else too, that your love can't evolve. The ending screams anticipation with impending questions of what will Danni do, because my god I loved her character, she was real to me, she was maybe brokenhearted but never broken. I'm so ready for book two as I can't wait to be torn over twists and angst I know Ms. Godwin will deliver. This is reason I read books like this the what the need for the next book even though you're still reeling from the first.
