Good use of vegetables
The first thing that attracted me to this book is the good use of a variety of vegetable. The recipes are divided by seasons. The book is very nice to look at with good pictures. Unfortunately, like many visually appealing cook books, less care is put into the recipes. I did Menu #1 for Spring. The recipes seem to have errors or just vague instructions. The fish needs some salt or seasoning. I could not find "Charlotte potatoes." They may be common in France where the book comes from. I did not find "small turnips" and had to make do with what I could find. Would have been easier if weight was given.(I have never heard complaints about Julia Child's recipes, written long before the help of computers!)The recipes in this book are not too difficult so someone with cooking experience should be able to figure out any problems, mistakes and omissions. Too confusing for a beginner. In the end, after some extra time and effort to figure out the recipes, I was rewarded with 5 nice dinners, stacked in the freezer.

Challenging recipes
I had expected simpler meal prep recipes. These are pretty advanced/complex recipes and significantly above my level. The title made it seem like it would be more accessible for all cooking levels but I was very disappointed.
