A recommended read
I only bought this book on the back of having read 'As always Julia' the story of the letters between Julia Childs and Avis De Voto. the were several references to the writings of Bernard De Voto which spiked my curiosity hence my investing in a copy of the book (long out of print). The book takes a little resolve but the further in I read the more interesting Bernard De Voto became. he was obviously much more than just a writing he was a writer with a social conscience and certainly researched his work.
