Gossip Girl: Season 4

Gossip Girl does not dissapoint with Season 4. It has just the amount of drama we are used to since day one. Season 4 is my personal favorite due to love of Blair and Dan together...or at least as 'friends'. Sexy, drama filled for us drama junkies and Jenny Humphrey free, Gossip Girl comes back to sattisfy new, old and coming back fans with Chuck alive and well, Nate with his man bangs, Serena with her ever-dying fashion sense, Dan with his new found feelings for a certain brunette, and best for last, Blair with a charming prince at her arm at least at the beginning...and end of the season and all in the middle is the crème de la crème of the season's (and the next's) lasting triangle (and at times, square). This is season is to die for and no one can miss it.

I liked season 4. Its so fashionable, as usual. I honestly watch "GG" for a fashion, not for the plot. But i did not enjoy, that Jenny and Vanessa suddenly turned against Serena. She didnt do anything bad to hurt them, not her fault guys want her. If Jenny and Vanessa would learn to be more happy and less bitchy, maybe the guys will see them differently. Serena is just a Sunshine and guys like that. Blair and Chuck had some intense moments. Dan is usual slutty-self. Cant figure out what he wants. If you like fashion, you will enjoy the movie. If you after the story and learning some valuable lessons, then....try " The O.C" - this one has alot to teach you. Especially family values.

I'm a big fan of Gossip Girl. I read the books and watch the show on tv. The DVDs were in great condition. I'm currently on the second to last DVD in the set and had no problems. I received the DVDs quickly and bought them for a great price. I usually wait for the stores to go on sale, but I saw Amazon had a great deal at the time when I purchased them, so I did and I love it!

I've got all the Seasons of this show! The package came fast it was knew I couldn’t pass it up. I have a good collection of good DVD’s and I like to add on from time to time...this was a steal and I decided to purchase it I’ve seen it before but wanted it in my collection…GOOD Season/GREAT Price!

So glad this finally came. Guilty pleasure :) I haven't seen a scratch yet.

i see 6 episode in a day and now i'm at episode 17 they episode are very good and in every season this show keeps getting better in every episode but i miss the character of jenny she appear only in 4 episode and there is a new character in the first 11 episode of the series is juliet a girl with a vendetta against serena, damien the jenny'ex boyfriend former drug-dealer return in the eleventh episode vanessa appear in the first 10 episode and return in the episode 17 i really got hooked on this series i started last year watch this series from the pilot episode and i've bought all the dvds and in a year i see 3 season i miss only 5 episode to the fourth season's finale and i can't wait for season 5 dvd because here in italy i can't see the show and in italy the dvd don't come out i give this only four stars because i miss jenny and i want her back

I ordered this set as a Christmas gift (I ordered seasons 4-6). All 3 seasons arrived within 3-5 days in perfect condition.

This season is definitely the worst so far. Season 3's threesome between Vanessa, Dan and Hilary Duff's character was hard to believe but a lot of this series is fairly incredulous also.The best thing about the season is the continuing tension between Blair and Chuck. They have such amazing chemistry!The start of the season, where Chuck is in love with an angelic prostitute while giving away millions to charity is just too much to expect the audience to believe. And when she leaves, even though he was completely in love with her, he is fine! Also Blair's romance with the Prince is literally a brief encounter in Paris (a few dates), another date or two in New York and suddenly she is engaged. It's just all too easy... and fits too well into what the writers were trying to accomplish. Yes, it was a great idea, that Blair would live in a real life fairy tale, but executed without much thought or work.The Serena/Nate/Dan love triangle was so boring, because while she was trying to choose all season, nothing happened, so the audience was denied any tense, dramatic moments, that we came to love, especially between Serena and Dan.Something about Dan's character became very unappealing in this season. I loved him at the start, but his scheming, his womanizing ways etc. is not the Dan that the audience fell in love with in the first two seasons.Overall good, definitely not great, lots of hard to believe moments. (And not in a good way!)

Serie tv fantastica, moda, glamour e intrighi ti tengono incollato al divano, aspetto con ansia la 5 stagione in DVD!!!

C'est une série vraiment géniale. On a vraiement envie de faire partie de ce monde: garde robe de luxe avec des robes magiques, soirée privée avec traiteur...De plus l'histoire est géniale avec toujours autant de rebondissement que les saisons précedentes. Et pour finir il y a du beau mec... Donc si vous etes fan de mode, de luxe et d'histoire d'amour platonique foncer et acheter toutes les saisons!!!

Im vierten Teil der Serie legen die Produzenten noch einmal ganz neue Maßstäbe.Serene und Blair verbringen den Sommer in Paris, Blair versucht ihre gescheiterte Beziehung mit Chuck zu verarbeiten, Serena tut einfach das, was sie am besten kann: sich amüsieren.Chuck wurde im Finale der letzten Staffel angeschossen, er wacht im Haus einer jungen Prostituierten auf, die ihn scheinbar wirklich so liebt, wie er ist. Doch kann sie ihm im Kampf um Bass Industries, der mittlerweile noch härter geworden ist, zur Seite stehen? Und wie wird Blair reagieren?Es gibt ein kleines Wiedersehen mit Jenny, aber ihr scheint New York noch immer nicht gutzutun.Vanessa und Dan kämpfen um ihre Freundschaft, doch werden die beiden sich nocheinmal zusammenraufen können?Und natürlich tauchen auch wieder jede Menge altbekannte und neue Charaktere auf, Jack Bass hat einen kurzen Auftritt, ebenso wie Georgina Sparks.Doch wie werden unsere liebsten Upper Eastsiders die Uni meistern...?Die Storyline:Nun, bei Gossip Girl ist die Schulzeit nun endlich vorbei und die Mädels und Jungs müssen sich auf der Uni zurecht finden. Nach Blairs verunglücktem Versuch an der NYU will sie einen Neustart wagen, aber als sie erfährt, dass Serena doch nicht an die Brown geht kommt es mal wieder zum Streit zwischen den Freundinnen.Es werden mal wieder diverse Storylines in eine Staffel gepackt, bei Gossip Girl gibt es keine Lückenfüller Episoden, wie in so vielen anderen Serien. Aktionreich und spannend wird eine Intrige an die nächste gereit und es kommt nie Langeweile auf.Besonders hat mir gefallen, dass Dan mal von seinem hohen Ross hinuntersteigt und mehr von sich offenbart.Die Charaktere:Besonders beeindruckt hat mich in dieser Staffel Blair, die über sich selbst hinauswächst, lernt, dass man im wahren Leben auch mal Tiefschläge einstecken muss und man sich nicht alles erkaufen kann und die endlich ein paar grundlegende Entscheidungen fällt. Auch wenn es wieder ein bisschen relativiert wurde, fand ich es sehr beeindruckend, dass sie Chuck lebwohl sagt, um sich ihrer Karriere zu widmen. Echter Vorbildcharakter!Serena tritt ein bisschen auf der Stelle; in ihrer gewohnt etwas vertrottelten aber liebenswerten Art fliegt sie wieder von einer Blume zur anderen und weiß nicht, wo sie sich niederlassen soll. Etwas unglaubwürdig fand ich, dass Serena den Sommer mit Kellnern und Prinzen verbringt und sich dann aufregt, weil Nate und Dan nicht auf sie gewartet haben. Ihre Romanze mit Dan hat an Feuer verloren; ob das Absicht der Produzenten ist bleibt nur zu erahnen.Chuck ist wieder gewohnt abstoßend und anziehend zugleich. Seine angespannte Beziehung mit seinem Vater findet noch ein Revival; es wird in dieser Staffel mehrmals alles in Frage gestellt, für das Chuck lebt.Seine Beiehung mit Eva fand ich nun doch ein bisschen zu klischeehaft.Wer dachte, Nate könne nach der letzten Staffel nicht mehr viel langweiliger werden, der wird hier leider etwas besseren belehrt.Dan zeigt nun auch endlich sein wahres Gesicht und es entwickelt sich eine Beziehung, mit der wohl keiner gerechnet hatte.Einige neu eingeführte Charaktere bestechen durch Authentizität, andere scheinen abgenutzt und unsympathisch. Juliett und Ben haben mir wirklich gut gefallen, Raina hätte man sich sparen können.Schön fand ich die erzwungene Wandlung von Lilly.Musik und Ton:Die Musik ist mal wieder ein Highlight, die Stücke sind genau auf die Situationen angepasst und es gibt einige Remixes zu hören, die extra für die Serie produziert worden.Design und Mode:Mode, Mode, Mode! Ich liebe die Ausstattung der Serie und würde gerne mal eine Nacht im Kleiderschrank der Schauspieler verbringen. :-)Natürlich besticht die Serie auch mal wieder durch ihre extrem attraktiven Darsteller. Es gibt auf der Upper Eastside eben keine unattraktiven Menschen. :-)Mit Raina wird nun auch endlich die Quoten Nein-Ich-Sag-Es-Nicht eingeführt.Die DVD Box:Leider gibt es wieder zu wenige Extras. Außer ein paar Kommentare zu den Episoden (laaaangweilig! :-)) und ein paar verpatzten Szenen gibt es nicht wirklich viel zu sehen. Ich hätte mir ein paar Hintergrundinfos und wie in Staffel 3 ein paar Musikvideos gewünscht.Die Box ist auch so kein Highlight und nicht wirklich robust. Die Papphülle verzieht sich sehr schnell und ist dann auch nicht mehr zu retten.Fazit: Eine starke Staffel, eine der besten bisher! Ich kann die 5. Staffel nicht mehr erwarten, ich hoffe, die deutsche Veröffentlichung lässt nicht allzu lange auf sich warten!
