BDF NA05 Window Film Daytime Privacy and Sun Control Natural Black 5 (Very Dark) - 36in X 12ft

The BDF NA05 Daytime Privacy and Heat Rejection Window Film does a fantastic job of providing daytime privacy while noticeably reducing heat from the sun on my southern exposure windows. The film is very dark, which works well in blocking out sunlight, and it's great for keeping my rooms cool without the need for heavy blinds or curtains. I applied it to the windows in my den, and the room is much cooler and darker, which works well for video calls. The Kit has a small squeegee, a razor knife, and a small squirt bottle. Do yourself a favor and purchase straight-edge razor blades, a large squirt bottle, and a bigger squeegee. Use the razor knife to cut your tint from the roll (I broke the blades after every four cuts to keep from tearing tint), and use the straight-edge razors to trim tint when applying to windows. It's essential to take your time to avoid bubbles. Use your squeegee and soap and water mixture to work out bubbles. The results are worth it once the tint is in place and dried. Overall, it is a solid product that serves its purpose well!

I installed the BDF NA05 Natural Black 5 window film on two south-facing windows in my home office and living room. This is a true 5% VLT (visible light transmission) film, meaning it’s very dark — almost like there are heavy rain showers outside during a full sunny day. From the outside during daylight hours, you get excellent one-way privacy; people walking by or neighbors can’t see in at all. It gives the windows a sleek, classic black-tinted look that complements modern homes. The sun control performance is impressive. It rejects a good amount of heat (claimed up to 55%), noticeably reducing glare and keeping the rooms cooler in Texas summer. Application was straightforward with the standard soapy water method — the film is flexible and cuts cleanly, though it does require patience to avoid bubbles and creases. Overall, if you’re looking for maximum daytime privacy and sun/heat control and don’t mind darker interiors, this BDF NA05 Natural Black 5 is one of the better affordable options out there. It does exactly what it promises for privacy-focused applications.

Great UV block, put it on garage door windows for privacy and afternoon heat. Garage is noticeably cooler!! Easy installation and good quality! Would definitely use again!

First attempt went horribly as I really underestimated how much this tint would want to stick to itself. Use way more water than you'd think when applying, you can't over do it. Installation is straight forward but larger pieces will require multiple people or a LOT of patience. If you don't have small/medium sized rectangular windows be prepared to spend some time on your install. Took me 2 attempts and about an hour and a half to get this 68" diameter arc in my attached pic. After the first screw up I only had enough for one more shot so I really used all of my dormant high school geometry to make sure I got it right. Cutting corners can be a lil tricky, don't cut to the corner in one go. Leave a half inch then work from the corner out. Worked well for me. Very dark, instant noticeable drop in temperature. More difficult install than other tints I've used, but the end result was worth the extra time spent wrestling this self adhering Satan wrap.

I purchased this window film for added privacy and to help reduce sunlight, and it has worked exactly as I hoped. The tint is very dark, which provides excellent daytime privacy while also helping cut down on glare and heat. Once installed, it gave the windows a clean, professional appearance and made a noticeable difference in the amount of sunlight coming through. The film has held up well and looks great. If you're looking for a cost-effective way to add privacy and sun control without replacing windows, this is an excellent option. I am very pleased with the results and would purchase it again!

Great product! Installed on garage windows following installation instructions carefully. Installation was challenging not because of the product, but due to the plastic frames permanently installed around the windows to hold decorative grids. We were searching for window film to filter out sun that did not have mirror backing and this is perfect for that.

We’ve bought several packages of this tinting material and have covered all the windows in our house, including bedroom windows, living room windows, and sliding glass doors. It works great and I highly recommend it. It does an excellent job of keeping the heat out and blocking the harsh sunlight that was coming in during the early evening. Very effective product and definitely worth it.

Definitely love these easy to install privacy window tint. You cut the measurements to fit your window and the overall appearance looks great. The adhesive isn’t sticky at all so it make the application fit a lot better than others. I love privacy and just having a little more during the day and night so people can’t peep into my garage even from afar is what I was looking for. Get the darkest one!

The product was exactly what I was looking for. I installed it on inside bedroom doors. I had to cut it in 12 different pieces, and still worked great to install. You need patient and a bit of DIY....

The hardest part was separating the layers, but once I actually followed the directions and fully covered the corners I figured it out. The photos show the difference between applied and regular light, as well as the small area where I messed up my trim lol. A mini squeegee and x-acto knife come with the film which is helpful!
