I have the entire series of Vernon McGee commentaries. They are my "go to" commentaries. I can hear Vernon McGee's gravely voice speaking those words directly to me anytime I read his books. His words have powerfully affected my thinking and behavior. I bought this particular commentary as a gift to a believer who wants to dig deeper in Bible study.

Another fantastic commentary by Dr McGee. His books are scholarly, yet very clear and understandable. I've heard him say before that he "puts the cookies on the bottom shelf." This commentary certainly does so - it was a ready reference in my teaching through these three books in a recent Sunday School quarter.

A must read

I have used the Thru the Bible commentaries for several years to prepare for my adult Sunday school class I teach. I highly recommend them for anyone serious about studying the Bible.
