can you tile the side of the tub

There would not be any restrictions to tittle the face/front of the tub.

Can anyone recommend a matte black drain kit that will fit this?

What about this one? Westbrass 592244C-62 1-½' x 14" White Poly Tubular Bath Waste & Overflow Assembly with Trip Lever and Strainer Grid Drain Cover, Matte Black

Is this a nonslip style tub ?

No. In fact, it's a bit slippery. I always rinse it down really well after showering to make sure that any soap or shampoo isn't remaining. We love the tub though! Definitely recommend!

what drain with overflow should I use?
