Sanilo Soft Close Toilet Seat, Wide Choice of New Toilet Seats, Stable Hinges, Easy to Mount (Soccer)

Recently moved into our own home and they had replaced the toilet seat with what looked to be a good beach wood effect seat. It matched the bathroom decor. After a month of use with the kids banging it one of hinges had broken off. I found it was installed wrongly with no plastic plugs and the white seals missing. So I ordered this one.Firstly it comes in excellent packaging, a box within a box then air wrapped. It included all the parts needed to fit securely, more than the previous seat had with it and a screw tool to tighten. I had to use a philips to adjust the hinge angle to match the holes otherwise its easy to fit. Be aware though if you don't get a smooth flat surface between the hinges so the seals are flush you will compromise the hinges everytime you sit your bum down. Short term you won't notice anything but long term just that little movement will work away at the screws and the hinges will loosen. Thats what happened with the last seat we had.The hinges on this seat are solid, the quality of the surface is really nice and smooth and the soft close takes 30 seconds or more. Even the kids had to stand and watch as the seat lowered itself gently down. Very impressed.

The toilet seat is very good quality, lovely colours, comfortable to sit on, and it was easy to install even for someone without DIY talent like me. It is sturdy and stable and does not budge. So I would always buy it again. But I have to give one star less - the lower part of the seat does not stay upright. Now, I do not mind getting men to pee sitting down. But it also greatly complicates cleaning, since you have to hold up the thing the whole time. Without this problem, it would be perfect and 5 stars.

I already had to get them to give me a partial refund on the quality of the actual seat (there were "raised bumps" on the green "marble effect" which is plastic, so you can't make them "flat").Now after 6 or so months, the metal hinges are rusting and "pitted" which is totally unacceptable. Why use cheap metal and give them a thin coating of chrome, that just becomes pitted, and starts to peel off? You KNOW this is for a bathroom where there is condensation (duh!!!), and they look awful!! I can't keep cleaning them EVERYDAY, it's a PITA, and I'm disabled.I can't even send this rubbish back because it comes from Germany, and I'd have to sod about with import duty and the like. Disappointed is NOT the word!! I'd avoid like the plague unless you want major hassle, in my opinion!!! I've wasted nearly 50 quid, and I'm NOT happy!!!

Love the design on the seat and the soft closing, however the connections are not so sturdy, have to tighten it over and over again, the seat moves around when you sit on it, constantly adjusting it.

When I very first had to renew my toilet seat I found so many different options that I was overwhelmed, I can't remember how I settled on a company called Sanilo. When I first settled on the design I got the usual delivery date etc, but within a day or so they sent me an email explaining that the design that I had chosen had a fault and after checking all the stock of the that design they were all faulty. I was then given a choice of either waiting for a month or so until they received new stock or choosing another design, which I did. It duly arrived a day early, it was easy to fit and an excellent product. I can highly recommend this company, their efficiency and prompt action is second to none, nevertheless I intend to order another one in the near future.

I love the look and feel of this toilet seat (I never thought I'd see meself typing that!)The fastenings are of a good quality and although others have complained about the seat not staying up, the only thing I can think is that they've not set it up correctly as it's easily adjustable and the seat closes slowly and surely.

The quality of every aspect of this toilet seat is amazing. Great soft close on the toilet seat and lid,and the superior quality materials and metal fittings are outstanding. Slightly higher than other toilet seats which makes it more comfortable on sitting on it, and guaranteed due to the quality of the metal fittings stays in place. Both sides of the seat and lid are covered with the sand dune pictures which can be seen in the photos.
