this item when it arrived the tube was smashed and the stuff was all inside of the envelope. when i asked my dr if it was ok to use it she told me no becasue it shoulldnt have been sold online that stuff casues alot of problems.

I evaluated VagiVital for several weeks to see if issues I was experiencing would change, and it was not a good product for me. I felt that this product caused clogged pores in my labia, actually dried out and irritated my vaginal entrance more than doing nothing, did not absorb into labial or vaginal tissue, did not improve vaginal moisture. It forms a dry, sticky film anywhere it gets outside of the vagina rather than absorbing anywhere. The only positives I could find it that the product is extremely thick compared to any water-based lube I've ever tried, it does not immediately start running everywhere or dripping.Why I wanted to try this product out - I am over a decade post-hysterectomy as well as pre-menopausal (I still have functional ovaries) and suffer from vaginal atrophy as well as having struggled with intense itchiness in my entire groin area. I have particular problems with irritation from severe dryness around my vaginal entrance rather more than inside the vaginal canal. I do not get yeast infections at all. The most effective cure I have found for the under-the-skin itchiness is taking Omega 7/Sea Buckthorn daily (I also take very high dose fish oil and krill oil which help a lot with whole body dry skin as well). I moisturize the areas with hair with 'fur oil'. I sometimes moisturize my labia with 'rosebud woman honor balm' - however during peak summer and winter times when there is a lot of heat trapped in my clothes it can cause those annoying deep painful clogged pores in that area. It also can't be used internally. I was hoping that VagiVital, being water based, would be a lighter sort of moisturizer that I could use on my labia and inside my vagina without acne. But it is much worse than the balm I use, on my labia it just dries and forms a sticky film that seems to trap sweat & bacteria and moisturizes nothing, it causes irritation around the entrance, just sitting in a chair, because of sticky friction. For inside the vagina use, I didn't feel any difference in moisture. Even if I try to just use the product internally it naturally escapes out some later and causes the same problems. I also experimented with using it as a sex aid and while it is thick and doesn't move easily from where you apply it, it is like the dead opposite of slippery - it causes more friction. I honestly find myself bewildered by the positive reviews from others.I think for me personally, oil-based products are more compatible with my skin, as they actually sink in and improve deep moisturization of the skin, and I would be better off using olive oil or coconut oil, even, than this product. Some people can have yeast infection issues using these, but I do not.

Very smooth and watery. No smell and no residue. Last a while, very good quality. Comes along with an applicator stick. Great price.
