Works well
Bought a new grey couch and used this. We have 4 dogs and I was a bit worried about protection. Easy to use just spray in. Stays a bit moist but dries pretty quick. So far so good and it's been 6 months

Dries clear and seems to work
My wife and I bought two lazy boy style armchairs. The fabric is sorta like suede. I was concerned that frequent contact with arms on armrests and back of head on headrests would dirty the fabric so I bought this product to protect it. The spray worked well but to get full coverage I had to spray the fabric until it was quite damp - I was concerned I might have overdone it and reached the saturation/dripping point warned about on the bottle (why exactly do they warn of this - will something awful happen?) but I did not. The chairs dried in less than 24 hours in an air conditioned room, no smell. The fabric appears normal in texture and color. Water test shows good beading. So at this point I am pleased with the result though whether it will actually do what I want it to remains to be seen.

Fair product and no odor bit the sprayer does not mist
I had to empty the contents into my own spray bottle as the bottle did not spray a mist but a stream even on the spray setting. I treated on chair 3 times, running a fan on each treatment to expedite drying. There's no odor. You can see in the photo that it makes the fabric water resistant but not waterproof; however, the bottle clearly states that the product does cause furniture waterproof to be waterproof. After treatment, my chair was just water resistant enough such that I could blot away water if I act immediately. Letting liquid sit there for an extended amount of time will still cause a stain.

Perfect for use on car seats and areas that may be exposed to fluids/animals
I have used products like this one for some time, as owning pet, I have learned that an ounce of caution is definitely worth a pound of prevention.Although the water resistance is noticeable, I have found that depending on the amount of use, I end up reapplying frequently, at least every three months. It works well, and is a great value for the money I spent. There is a white film that will appear, so I would use caution, and try applying this on a small hidden part before going full-bore and covering the whole item.I use this mostly on seats and bedding that my dogs or animals may end up on, there is a substantial smell to it, almost a petroleum smell. However, allowing the fluid to dry completely in an open air environment does allow for the smell to go away. I have found that even putting all the windows of my vehicles in the garage, still allows for the strong odor to be present, and envelops the garage too. Most of the materials I have applied the spray on has left no change in color, and I have yet to have an issue with discoloration. It does allow fluids to roll off of the fabric that was treated, and even when the fluids dry on the material, I am still able to remove the stain/dried material using a damp cloth. I will reapply the solution to the area I cleaned, to ensure that none of the protection was removed during cleaning.

Great spray !
Sprayed this on my new rug and the spray did give off some smell but I had the windows open and the smell was gone very quickly. Purchasing another bottle for my other rug. Worth the money. It did not change the feel or texture of the rug. Also, I did not have any issues with the sprayer and was super easy to use without leaks or any issues.

Not aerosol, repels liquid for only a few seconds, stain resistance not tested yet
I needed a water/stain protector for new canvas shoes I bought. I happened to have a can of Scotchguard automotive upholstery protection in my garage, so I got that. The aerosol can had been sitting in the garage for a couple of years, but I figure I'd try it anyway, as it was barely used. It wouldn't spray.... the gas in it had dissipated completely, so I had to throw a full can away sprayed only once.Since Scotchgard only sells their product in aerosol cans, I went looking for a fabric protector that didn't use such a wasteful and environmentally bad packaging method again.I saw this, the ratings seemed high, and I purchased it for that reason. This was literally double the price of the Scotchgard, but if I'm not throwing most of it away if I can't use it up at once, it is still the better deal.I sprayed it on my canvas shoes, the smell wasn't too bad, and I could wash it right off my hands afterwards. After 24 hours drying time, I dripped water on my shoes, and it beaded and rolled off. HOWEVER, if you keep pouring water on the same spot, it will soak. Now how stain resistant it is remains to be seen, but I'm hopeful that if it does get stained, it will be easy to clean off. If you do clean it off, you will probably need to reapply. For the most part, Scotchgard worked similarly, and I noticed absolutely no stain prevention in my car seats after using it. What it did was make any staining you get wash out more easily and not 'set' into the fabric. I believe this works the same way.I have not gotten anything I treated stained yet, and I'm not going to stain brand new canvas items to test. The star off is because it's not really waterproofing fabric for more than a few seconds. If the stain resistance does not work as I expect (stains don't 'stick' but can wash out), then I will update again with fewer stars. So far so good, I like it.

Strong Smell and Poor Protection
I tried the Tri Nova Fabric Protector. It did not work as expected: weak protection and uneven coverage. The smell is too strong and uncomfortable; it caused irritation for the children. Overall, this product does not perform in the way it promises to."

Protected My Cream Bar Stools Without Changing the Fabric Colour or Texture!
I purchased TriNova Fabric Protector Spray and Stain Guard to help protect my cream-colored bar stools from everyday spills and wear. So far, I’ve only used it on those stools, but I’m happy with how easy the application process was.The spray goes on evenly with a fine mist and dries without leaving behind a strong chemical smell. I was especially relieved that it didn’t darken, stain, or change the color of the fabric at all, since my stools are such a light cream shade.Another thing I appreciated is that the fabric still feels soft after drying. It didn’t leave the material stiff, sticky, or crunchy like some fabric sprays can. After applying it, water beads more on the surface instead of immediately soaking in (see photo), which gives a little extra peace of mind for everyday use around food and drinks. I still wouldn’t consider any fabric completely stain-proof, but this definitely adds a layer of protection and helps make maintenance easier. My only downside is that I do wish the bottle were a bit larger for the price. I was only able to fully protect three bar stools before running low, so larger projects may require more than one bottle.Overall, this worked well for what I needed and I would consider purchasing it again for protecting other fabric furniture around the house.
