Great Little Reel Mower... especially for the Price!
I bought this to mow my new installed Bermuda turf... (It's hard to crank though... LOL!) it was extremely easy to assemble and the blades were sharp from the factory. I found it very addictive to mow with despite having an expensive Zero Turn mower and a new rotary mower. Obviously the noise level is much lower than a motorized mower and the gas savings are a plus. It is light weight which was perfect for my newly installed turf. I am mowing approximately 3200 sq ft around our house (I use my Zero Turn for the rest of my 3 acres). I have yet to have to sharpen the blades or to adjust the bed knife. IF it ever wears out, I would buy another one immediately!!! My wife is 5'2" and barely 100 lbs and she has NO PROBLEM mowing with it... it is easy to push. When I finish mowing, I WD-40 the bed knife and then run the blades over it by pulling it along my concrete drive to distribute the WD-40 on all the blades. Great mower for the price!!!

Reel Great Mower
Purchased this so the kids could mow a small section of the yard that's fenced off and I can't get the riding mower into. They love having a mower they can use themselves, and it does a great job cutting a variety of grasses (Bermuda, misc. local grasses, and even taller, thick St. Augustine) but it may take several passes in different directions for the most uniform final product. It is easy and smooth to push though, so that works out fine. Seems to stay sharp and when oiled regularly after use, and stays in great shape. The grass seems healthier and happier after being cut with this mower, and I love that the kids (11) can do it without my help. Great for use in a smaller space or yard - wouldn't want to cut a half-acre or more with it (at least not of our thick mix of grasses and weeds), but is fantastic for our lush extended chicken run. Would highly recommend for someone who wants a quiet, conventional mower that doesn't need fuel, will give you a healthier lawn, and will last a long time.

Reeeeely good mower for small lawns
I waited an entire season to review this reel mower. I used to mow grass for a living and I have cut a lot, A LOT of grass. But, I had never touched a reel mower. I have run some really nice mowers. Deere, Scag, Toro, all rotary mowers, but high end commercial equipment. My house has a small yard maybe 2000sqft. I saw some guys on the YouTube using reel mowers and I thought for the price of a manual push reel, why not give it a try? My yard is Bermuda grass that I would cut at 2” in the spring and 2.5” in the dead of summer 100degrees. So I chose the seven blade. Less dense turfs would need a 5 blade. First off, this mower is really light. Too light. I ended up pulling the rollers, filling with fine sand and sealing the ends. All in an attempt To keep the mower from bouncing around. I am contemplating steel rollers for next year. The mower came out of the box adjusted properly. I checked it but it was spot on even contact all the way across the knife. The other adjust Kent I made was to straighten the handle bars. They came at a weird inward angle that was just not comfortable. Put a pipe on the end of the bars and bent theM flat to 90. The other thing that needs to be done each time is just a little oil or grease across the knife edge. It quiets the operation. Using the reel mower has some reel advantages. (Sorry, has to do it.). The first, is that it is super light. My toro 21” commercial is self propelled but At 110 lbs, turning it around is a workout. This reel is nothing to push. Even in my really dense, healthy bermuda it is a dream to push. Second, there isn’t a bunch of dirt and glass flying around. Something to appreciate in the dry days of summer where a rotary mower creates a dust plume. Third, no gassing up, forgetting to buy gas and having to run and get it before you mow. Just grab the reel, shot some oil on it and mow. No pulling the cord, no adjust carbs, spark plugs filters....oil it and mow. Now, on to the cut. This is where the reel shines. A rotary mower spinning at 30000rpm, no matter how sharp, beats the lives ng heck out of grass. A real mower makes one nice scissor like snip and moves on. The greatest surprise of switches ng yo a reel mower has been the health of my turf. It is night and day. I kept the exact same feeding and weed prevention and my lawn went from a patchy weedy struggle to keep to looking like a fairway in one season. I dropped the height from 2-2 1/2 down to 1- 1-1/2” even in the dead of summer. I was blown away. The grass is just flat out healthier, stronger and able to choke out the weeds. A little push reel like this is big for everyone. But anyone who wants a to cut maintenance and improve the health of their lawn, switch to a reel mower. I can think of several improvements that would make this particular mower much better, but for the money, it’s a good little reel. Happy mowing!

Great for the price
This reel mower is able to take your grass down to a half an inch on the lowest setting. Very easy to assemble and use. Before use, be sure to pick up sticks and limbs because the smallest stick can get wedged between the blades and get hung up for a bit. This thing is so easy to push; I was able to push with one hand. I bought this so I could get my current grass as low as I could so I can reseed with new grass. The time it takes to mow the grass with this may take a few minutes longer than a gas push mower but it is worth it if want good manicured grass with nice lines.

Zero Quality Control
I'll start by saying that the mower works great, maneuvers easily, runs silently and is sharp enough to cut a piece of paper, there is a caveat though, it did not arrive like that. When the mower showed up the reel wasn't true, after making multiple adjustments over the course of an hour I found that the flat blade was catching 4 of the reels while 3 of them free spun. I then spent an additional 2 hours using abrasive compound to even the blades out. From the box, the reel mower was as loud as an electric mower because the reel would screech every rotation, terrible sound. There seems to be an absence of quality control with this brand because the left axel hub isn't pressed flush, I'll likely have to spend another 45 minutes pressing it in correctly. If they marketed this as an off brand mower it would certainly lessen the expectations, but they emphasize the 120 year history of the company & "American quality" which clearly hasn't carried over to the factory in China. If you're expecting a mower that is ready to go out of the box, this isn't the product for you, if you don't mind dropping 4 hours of work to get it to function as advertised, then this might be worth the $20 in savings versus the Scott's brand. Considering I had to shell out $20 to get this product running properly, it would make more sense to just buy a premium brand reel mower, which this is not. Buyer beware.

Great mower for short lawns
Awesome mower. My new house had an old neglected lawn with an unknown variety of Bermuda. I recently over seeded Yukon Bermuda and have needed to keep it cut short so that it can overtake the old Bermuda. I’ve been using an 18” 5-blade American lawn mower, but wanted a 7-blade for a cleaner cut with less passes. This definitely did the trick. It’s made by the same company. Great mowers. I’m a fan. I added a metal roller to it that I got here from Amazon, and with a very slight alteration to my grass collector for my 18” mower, I was able to get it to now fit in both mowers. This think cuts rights through the grass. So nice. I love it.

Earthwise allows me to mow my lawn anytime without disturbing my neighbors.
The Earthwise 7-Blade Reel Lawn Mower was easy to put together in a few minutes. The blades are so sharp it cut my grass like butter; and powered by me. Love the simplicity.

Easy assembly and use
Very easy to set up. No tools required. The issue I have with it is is that even after multiple passes with the same area, it is still able to cut blades of grass. This tells me that it does not get a uniform cut. It is also somewhat apparent visually. Still, for the ease of use and initial assembly, as well as reasonable pricing, I give it four stars.

Good item. Cuts nice.
Good item if you want to maintain a short cut on your grass. It’s light weight and narrow so it takes some work. I wouldn’t recommend it for a large area. We use it to maintain a small putting green. It’s not as short as a pro putting green but it’s good enough for the kid and I to putt around on.

Quality
Really good quality. Very sturdy and well made. Thought it would be heavy to push but it's super easy and cuts really well. Saw reviews it was hard to lower the blade but didn't have any issues with it. Excellent product.
