LOVE THESE! Great approach shoe
LOVE THESE! Great approach shoe. Normally, La Sportiva's are too narrow for my feet. These have a roomy toe box that makes these very comfortable to wear all day long. The lacing allows them to be tightened up when you want. Fit seems true-to-size.The soles are very grippy. I use these with confidence canyoneering on polished limestone. The soles are supportive enough to carry weight (6-day trips with technical gear, food, and water) on long days on rugged terrain. The uppers are well constructed and durable--barely any visible wear after 250+ rough miles. The uppers will easily outlast the soles. (The soft rubbers provides great traction, even on wet rock, but it does wear quickly. That is to be fully expected for this category of shoes.Awesome. Love them. Just bought a second pair.

Where trail runner meets hiking boot
I do a lot of hiking in the north Georgia mountains and come from a trail running background. I was finding that my feet were getting really beat up on longer hikes in the traditional trail running shoe. I wanted something with underfoot protection and stability but did not want a full blown boot. Also having solid toe protection is really important as I tend to find every rock, root and stump on the trail.I started looking at approach shoes as they seemed to be where a trail runner meets a hiking boot. I've had two pairs of the TX3s now and couldn't be more pleased with them. The toe protection is 2nd to none. Big bumper that comes up over the front and onto the top of the toe box. Very stable shoe that can handle just about anything. Comfortable enough to wear on 30+ mile day hikes, but still nimble enough for when I want to trot a downhill or flat section. Really good grippy outsole works well on wet and dry rock. The only compromise there is you give up a little bit in longevity as the stickier rubbers tend to go a little faster. That said, it's a worthwhile trade off in my mind to have the good traction.Getting ready to purchase my 3rd pair.

All around great shoe.
Love the fit, lightweight, and traction of sole. The only negative is that the shoes suck up water. I know they're not supposed to be water proof but the slightest hint of water, like damp geass, just soaks right in.

Poor fit.
Short walk and two blisters and a sore top of my left. Really poor fit for me.

Great approach shoes!
Great approach shoes! I have a wider foot and these fit perfect! Lightweight, comfortable and very breathable. Will easily get wet in the slightest conditions however, but dries much faster afterwards. Great for rocky trails and backpacking!

Most legit
4th or 5th pair I've owned. I teach rope rescue and spend a lot of time in them. Most legit!
