Love it!
I am a 5'1", 94 pound senior woman and I love this lead. It fits around my wrist just fine and love the fact I don't have to carry a leash. Knowing I can grab the short extension to keep my dog close at hand is enough for me. My dog is off-leash trained, so he doesn't pull when I have to have a lead on him, but even if he should tug at it, I am not uncomfortable.

Hands free retractable leases are hard to find
I like any hands free leash product and this one works as described, my dog is still a pup so I look forward to using it more as she gets a bit older and learns to heel

LOVE THE COLOR AND LEASH
AMAZING leash, love the color, was so far to find a hands free retractable leash in lime green and i did it! it works great, has about 10 ft of slack, has a seat belt like quick stop, if you yank the leash or jerk it, it will lock. no other option to lock it though is my only complaint, however the leash is short enough that this isn't an issue too often. over all love the leash, love the color and am a happy camper and so it my pup

I like the wrist strap - much better than fumbling around with leash and packages, but the lead does not have a stop. The lead is pulled out, then automatically goes back in when pressure is stopped.

great idea!
i love this thing! yes it is way to big for my little wrist, but i'm in a wheelchair and i put it on my chair or my calf. i have a little dog so i probably woudn't reccomend this method with a bigger or more unruly dog, but works for me! perfect!

Not for women with skinny arms. If my dog pulls, it can cause discomfort to me. Also, in order to get it to "catch", you have to pull very quickly and it startles the dog. I am still looking for something to go around my waist that has a reel on it, so I can reel him in when I need him closer!

The lock system is totally manual and doesn't work well, for sure you cannot control your dog if it is a type of dog that is always pushing.

Lightweight, Easy to use, Dog loves it!
This is a great invention. Our Collie X loves to roam, just like any other hound, and often pulls on the lead. The 3m length is enough to give him a sense of freedom but still connected for us to remain in control. While the click in the unit also works well as a training tool when giving instruction, as it provides a quality sound reinforcement. It is lightweight and can be handheld or strapped to your wrist / belt, the fact that it is so light benefits the dog too. Don't be fooled that this is a flimsy product it is not; the cord and lead are made from strong nylon and unlike other retractable leads there is very little opportunity to get yourself tangled up in it. The fact that this has an integrated shorter hand held section within the lead enables the handler to hold the dog close by in crowded or specific situation means that you have flexibility of use. This lead would be great for anyone who has problems with their hands as it doesn't have to be handheld and is easy to strap on and release and can be locked to a specific length. It also gives you hands free if you have to carry anything but keep your dog close by.TIP: Before we took him out on it the first time we did try it out in the garden so we got to grips with how it worked which took about 10 minutes. We have had this now for several weeks and it is our lead of preference from all those we have in the arsenal of dog paraphernalia we own.

I love it! Great for joggers but also for those who need to use walking aids.
I love it! It took me and my 21kg Staffie Cross two or three walks to get used to it but that was all and since then we've had no problems. The length of the lead is about two feet shorter than my old extendible lead but the dog has soon got used to that and I had to be very disciplined initially about not grabbing the cable to pull her back as there are several warnings on the info leaflet about the dangers of doing this. However, as I said it has only taken a few walks to get used to this and I have noticed that my dog does behave much better now during walks. If I lift my arm to halt the lead she immediately turns round and begins to walk back towards me which is a real improvement on how she behaved on the extendible lead. I should make it clear that I don't use this lead whilst jogging/cycling. I have to use two walking sticks and so a handsfree lead is essential and this one means my dog can still have a wander and a bit of freedom but I can quickly control her and bring her back to heel if I need to. I'm very happy with the quality and the functioning of this lead and believe it is well worth the extra expense. I would recommend it to anyone who needs to be handsfree.

good if not over extended
The first one I had of these broke after a month but I bought another as I am so impressed with the product. If your dog pulls too hard for too long it over extends and the retracting mechanism gets stuck so the lead won't wind back in. I've not had that problem with this one but it is the older model without the stop button. It extends to a nice length to give your dog a bit more space to go off a sniff on walks. It comfortably and securely attaches to your wrist and is small enough to chuck in a bag. I use a normal lead in town and switch to this one in the park. I can't use a hand held retractable lead with my dog as one was dropped behind him as a puppy, and so chased him as it wound itself back up, and he's terrified of them now. It also allows you to hold shopping, your phone, pick up poops without worrying about dropping the lead. Is worth the investment.

Insecure finger cutting lead
Bad buy. Waste of money. Too large for my wrist so not secure. Even if I try further up my arm it is still a bit large and if the dog pulls hard there s not enough Velcro to keep secure so it falls off. There is no locking mechanism so if you do not hold the short part of the lead you have no control over how much lead your dog has.The extending lead like a lot of extending leads is the really narrow finger cutting type. Given that there is no locking mechanism you'll regret it. Some extending leads have a slim lead, this one would be better if it was like that as you may have to try and pull your dog back.

Poor return spring lets this down.
I had high hopes for this but it is now lying with the other things I bought unseen on the internet which turned out to be less than useful. The brake mechanism is good but the return spring is hopelessly under strength for the task - even the lead cord being wet is sufficient to make it sag and retract too slowly. The lead cord is also too short (shorter than they say) and extending it with anything simply results in it not retracting properly. Maybe ok for a very small dog but not anything over 3kg.
