I have never tried absinthe before and these spoons, especially being stainless, worked well. I would not wash them in the dishwasher, but then I handwash knives, pots, pans, and glasses that are special. They may be fine in the dishwasher.

Perfect, exactly as advertised and arrived in 2-1/2 days of order being placed. They worked beautifully with the flaming cocktails and later came out of the dishwasher without any discoloration.

I tried my hand at making homemade absinthe by maceration of fresh wormwood leaves and spices. It was a stunning success and my preparation fares better as a high percentage liquor. In preparing absinthe to drink, I put a few cubes of sugar to taste on the spoon to balance both the ethanol content and the bitterness. These spoons do the job as a thin stream of cold water slowly melts away the sugar and appropriately dilutes the preparation so one can observe the louche process and see the green change to a greenish yellow. These absinthe spoons appear to be of high quality stainless steel and are delightful in feel and appearance.

Work great and look good for the price. Holding up well so far. Not luxury but what do you expect for $10
