I didn't get this to save on the amount of plastic I waste, the amount of plastic in one toothbrush is negligible compared to other ways we can cut back. Having said that, it just feels NICE to hold and use, there's something about it that makes it feel worthwhile. It's unfortunate to have to pay a premium for the heads (which are still plastic and end up in the trash), so by spending a lot more for this, you're saving the landfills from a thin piece of plastic that's 3/4th the lengths of a toothbrush every few months or however often you replace your brush, so if you're into this for the environmental angle, don't let this massive company shame you into overpaying for toothbrushes because they'll still continue to manufacture just as many plastic ones, including the bulky battery ones, and many other very wasteful practices, not to mention their mouthwash bottles which have more plastic than several toothbrushes, I'd imagine... Having said that, it's a solid product, I like it, it's just annoying when the most wasteful companies on the planet try to shame individual consumers into overpaying for something that's literally not going to move the needle at all. Also, what about once we account for the extra molds and tools that have to be built to make the different style of handle, the extra machines to manufacture a metal toothbrush handle, the extra shipping weight, etc etc etc... Let's not pretend this is somehow the green environmental option, it's just a cool toothbrush that feels nice to use, a little piece of luxury for a few extra bucks, I'll take it, it's a 5 stars, with a caveat for my lil rant .

Really wanted to like this product since it helps reduce waste, however, I am finding that it doesn’t compare to my regular brushes. Not even 1 week into using it and the bristles have started loosing shape – as if I’d been using it for way longer; and my teeth don’t feel as clean as they do with my preferred brand. Unfortunately, the bristles are the most important part of a toothbrush (for me). The rest of the brush’s design is nice – handle is sturdy and ergonomic, tongue scraper is effective and a welcomed feature. Will have to go back to my old brushes which defeats the purpose of this product.
