Great deal, though the instructions are lacking
I used this to mount a Sanyo PLV-Z2 projector. It works great and I am very pleased now that it is up on the ceiling. The mount works by having little arms screwed into the middle that protrude out to the mounting holes on the projector. They do provide several short arms, several medium length, and several long ones. It can be tricky to select the correct lengths, since selecting ones that are too long cause them to interfere with each other. It does not come with mounting screws, though they provide so many screws that it is probably possible to just use some of the extras. I used some of my own that I had lying around the house. The instructions are vary vague, but not impossible to figure out. I gave this 4/5 stars solely based on the poor instructions, otherwise it would be 5/5. My main complaint is that they provide a package full of screws. There are several pouches with 4 screws each (all marked A, B, C, and so on up until I or J) but the sizes are not marked anywhere! I came to the conclusion that A, B, C, were all the same size (just different lengths) and the same with D, E, F and so on. I'm still not sure that's accurate but I wound up finding screws that seemed to fit and used them.Adjusting the mount with the projector on it was a bit tricky, but I don't believe this is anything specific to this mount. I have a screen and previously had the projector sitting on a shelf I mounted on the wall opposite the screen. I remember it took a long time to adjust it even on the shelf to exactly fit the screen. Adjusting the image to fit the screen will be a bit painful no matter which mount you choose.I would recommend having a ladder so that you can be sure to see and reach everything without having to stretch yourself. All in all this took me about 3 hours from start to finish. This includes finding the correct screws, finding the correct lengths for the arms and attaching them, drilling into the ceiling for the mount (make sure to use a stud), and then mounting and adjusting the picture to fit the screen. If I had to do it again, I could probably get it done in 60-90 minutes (most of which would be adjusting the picture to perfectly fit a screen).Make sure to mount it as close to the center of the screen as possible. Shifting it left/right or up/down WILL distort the picture. The further you shift it, the more distortion you will get. Fortunately, most projectors provide options in the menu that will allow you to fix the distortion (up to a certain point) and make the screen rectangular again. The closer you mount it towards the center of the screen, the less time you need to spend fixing the distortion. Finally, be sure to mount the projector somewhere on the ceiling where fans, light fixtures, etc. will not be obstructing the image.

Decent mount for the price does its job
This projector mount is of good quality construction and is holding my projector (Optoma HD20) nicely. I would have given it 5 stars, however it was a bit of a struggle to get it disassembled per the instructions to attach it to my projector and ceiling. It is a bit hard to explain without seeing it, but there is a quick release function where one bolt is removed which will allow the mount to separate into two pieces so the projector can be serviced (i.e. replace the bulb, etc). You then mount the top piece to the proper location on the ceiling and then the bottom piece to the projector. When both are situated appropriately, you then push the bottom piece into the top piece and replace the bolt and clamping plate and adjust the projector from there. I was not able to separate the two pieces after removing the bolt and plate. I finally had to use a vise in my garage and a rubber mallet to gently force the two pieces apart. The problem seemed to be from too much paint on the bottom piece making the fit very tight. I just used some heavy grain sand paper to gently remove some of the paint and make it "thinner" after which the two pieces then slipped into and out of each other smoothly. You can't see the missing paint as it sits inside the other piece when all attached, so it wasn't a problem for me.Over all, I agree with the other reviewers in that there is enough screws to choke a goat that came with the mount to make it very versatile in connecting to many types and styles of projectors and configurations which I appreciated. There are plenty of ways to adjust the mount once everything is mounted and attached to get the projector zeroed in on your screen. Where my screen is mounted, I needed an additional couple of inches drop from the ceiling to get the projector centered correctly, so I simply cut a piece of 2x6 wood which I then spray painted black and bolted to my ceiling joist, then bolted the mount to that. It looks nice and works as advertised. The only other thing I would point out, and I don't think it really has anything to do with this particular mount as I think it would happen with most. My home theater is in my basement and above the home theater ceiling is my upstairs living room. When my kids are running around up there the ceiling will vibrate a bit which causes the projector to vibrate very slightly. On a 106" screen the vibration can be a bit dizzying. Once I remind the kids of no running in the house the problem is resolved!I am pleased with the mount and would recommend it. If it wasn't for that slight problem of the original dis assembly to connect everything up and requiring some extra effort and tools on my part which other people may not readily have available to them, I would have given it 5 stars.

good enough
Works, as intended. It's apparent that the device is intended for set-and-forget usage, as setting it up was really finicky. For example, one axis of rotation was held on with a carriage bolt and nyloc nut, another by two nyloc nuts, and it seemed like every time I adjusted any of the above the other axis would shift.I'm amazed at how much hardware comes with this thing; I can't imagine this mount not fitting any sort of projector. It looks like they have it all covered.I'm impressed with the horizontal shift on the bracket. Quite clever to include this. Now, for the bad part: One of the lag screws which holds the mount to whatever you're screwing it into torqued right off. So, the whole mess is being supported by one bolt, and that is all. I'll zip-tie the mount up as a safety measure. Granted, I was using an impact driver to screw it in, however, it wasn't even that tight when the shaft failed. All in all, I would recommend this product to a friend, but I would recommend they pre-drill the lag screw holes prior to mounting.

Good product
Having never used a projector mount previously I was a bit skeptical about paying that kind of money when a couple of angle brakets and a shelf would work equally well. However, when my projector arrived (Epson 8350) and I realised how large and heavy it is :-) I was really glad I had ordered the Atdec mount. It is well designed, made of quality materials and comes with a kit of screws bolts and adaptors (and necessary Allen Keys) to fit any conceiveable projector. Well worth the investment and it looks good too.

Solid product
I agree with other reviewers in that the mount is quite high quality and very considerately packed with almost every nut or bolt you could need. The tiny allen key provided did not seem to fit in my case, but I had one that seemed to be the same size that did, so no problem there. I also echo the complaint that the components are pre-assembled too tightly. I had to juggle half a dozen tools to get everything free, and the complete setup took me hours. It would've been great if everything was entirely disassembled and I just had to follow instructions to put it together.

Great mount
I really am impressed with this mount, it fits the projector perfectly, and is really easy to fine tune to the perfect angles to get a perfect picture. The only negative I have is with how tight some of the yaw/pitch bolts are tightened when you get it. I needed a hammer to loosen the bolts. But once loosened, everything worked brilliantly.

the instructions could have been a bit better, but in the end you can figure it out. i have a big projector, so i was initially worried about hanging all that weight on this. but it's well made. i could do chin ups off of this thing
