Invasive Cardiology: A Manual for Cath Lab Personnel

I wish I would've bought this book first, before any others. As a Rad Tech who transitioned to Cath Lab with only on-the-job training, I went in there knowing next to nothing about this field. I had very limited knowledge on the heart and arteries. This book is what you're looking for if you really want to understand from scratch not just the heart anatomy and physiology but it also goes into procedures, diagnostic and interventional, structural and EP. It's a very well-rounded book.

I was SO excited that there was finally going to be a new edition of this book after YEARS! I am a current Program Director for a very reputable Invasive CVT program in Fort Myers and was on a mission to find new and up to date resources for our CVT program. This book is PERFECT!!!! It covers so much and to the perfect entry level for beginner CVTs. There are many reputable figures that helped create this book and it shows! For those wanting to find a new “all in one” resource for entry level CVTs or for those cross training in the cath lab or evening preparing to take their RCIS is this a great starter!!! Thank you to all the authors and for the new beautiful visuals that go with it!!! Oh to my fellow instructors- don’t forget about “the navigate advantage access” -the power points and image banks are SO helpful and some of the additional resources are AWESOME!!!

I just started a new job in the Cath Lab. I found this book and asked my husband to buy it for me. It is VERY helpful because it explained to me the different roles of the team especially what I am currently doing during my orientation stage. The equipments where the ones being used in the facility I am currently working.

Works for its intended purpose

This book provides you with all the info you need to learn more about the intricacies of the cath lab. Whether you are new to the CCL or been there for years this book is for you. It thoughtfully lays out the information in a easy to read and understand format!!

Wish I had of found this earlier. 10 years plus of working with industry representatives, internet searches, article reviews, distilling what a nurse needs to know from books and articles directed at the physician have been condensed into a single resource. A great starting point for staff new to the cardiac catheterisation laboratory, a good tool for confirming knowledge for the intermediate staff member and a great tool for those who need to train nursing staff to work within the cardiac catheterisation laboratory environment. Easy to understand, clearly written and written with those who support the primary operator in mind. Should be part of every catheter laboratory library.
