I initially bought this to use as a spray, but find it to be a bit too messy. I do like to use it to spray directly down barrels before cleaning them, but now mostly just spray it onto a cleaning patch or directly onto a nylon brush rather than straight onto the gun. The spray just is hard to control and splatters everywhere. In addition, it tends to drip off the end of the tube after spraying so I have to both wipe the end of it and to be sure to set it on a paper towel or similar to keep it from being too messy. Will likely buy again even if just for barrel use, but a liquid version is overall less messy for how I use it.

Apply after range session, let work overnight. Barrel cleans up easily. Been using for years, works well.
