Imperial Tool 370FH Triple Head 180 Degree Tube Bender, 3/16”, 1/4”, 3/8”, and 1/2”

This tubing bender is a very nice well made tool. I used it on 3/8"ID x1/2"OD Type K copper tubing which is thick walled and it worked fantastic. The degrees marks worked great also for my bends I think one of the best things is that it will bend 1/4", 3/8", 1/2" all with one awsome bender!!!!

This tubing bender is fantastic. I should've bought it years ago. It's easy to use and well built. I watched video on YouTube trying to find out exactly how to use it. I decided to map my own marks on a custom device that I'm making. It was easier and faster to make my own reference marks. The bends are smooth and there's plenty of leverage for 1/2" aluminum tubing. I have steel tubing, but have not yet made any bends. If necessary, I can always add heat to the steel to make it easier to bend. My only complaint is that this bender is made in China. The company goes out of there way to talk about Ohio heritage and long time ties to United States manufacturing, but quietly hides the fact that they outsourced this bender from China.

It does what your buying it for. Its save time and keeps you from over bending your line sets. Works great on mini splits

I've been buying tools for more than 20 years, but this is the first time I feel sufficiently inspired by a product to write a review. The tool came ahead of schedule, beautifully packaged and in pristine condition. I say this because it is rare these days to receive a tool so well presented and packaged. For a $50 tube bender, this may as well have been an Apple computer product! As for the tool is elf, at first I was a little skeptical. As pretty as it may be, it felt a little on the light side; I guess that it's cast aluminum. However, it proved itself to be up to the task. The project was to make a frame for a sailboat line bag. I had chosen a heavy wall (0.0863) stainless steel tube (also purchased from Amazon.com http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004XNAKKK/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1), that is perfect for tapping with a 3/8" fine thread tap (ID is almost identical to the recommended "O" size drill bit for this tap). The tube bent (relatively) effortlessly, with no kinks or marring of the surface. The tube is annealed, so it's the right kind of tube tube to use for bending. But for such a heavy-walled tube I was pleasantly surprised at how well the bender handled it. Right bender to bend this particular tube, and much cheaper than other benders ($200+) recommended for bending stainless steel tube.

I am changing my review because after bending about 15 - 90 degree bends, it is broken. First, the handle hinge pivot broke. It is like a big rivet, and the flared part just slipped through the hole. I replaced it with a bolt, but I still can't use it because the little adjustment brace end split. This prevents it from locking into position for the different size tubings. In short, after a little bit of use, it is garbage. See the attached pictures. --------- Here is my original review: This is a sturdy, high quality, American made tool. Easily bends 3/8" .035 wall seamless DOM steel tubing. I also bent some 1/2" .049. I recommend mounting it to something sturdy for this, because you might need two hands. It did make nice clean bends. Read the instructions, and keep the top (sliding) shoe lubed and the lower curved shoe clean.

Casting lines directly in the middle of the dies causing an impression in stainless, and nicopp material. Needed this bender for an urgent project so I was forced to clean up the casting with a file, and sand paper. Works well otherwise.

This product is of excellent quality and provides the kink free bends to match. It comes with helpful instructions and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a better than average multi diameter tube bender. Unfortunately tight radius bends in a limited space would require the use of single individual benders in those applications. This is a Tube bender, Not a pipe bender!
