Tasty and healthy- what’s not to love?
My husband would argue that this honey is best when eaten just by the spoon! But I have tried it with lemon and hot water and it makes a really lovely alternative to caffeinated drinks. It’s yummy in porridge, with yoghurt and fruit and on toast too. Speedy delivery and arrived in recyclable packaging. I would definitely recommend.

Not a pure one. Do not recommend

Nice tasting, I can’t say I’ve noticed any health benefits yet
First impressions were good, the honey is stored in a tough plastic container which first has tamper proof lid, with a foil seal underneath. The honey inside is thick with a dark orange/ brown colour. It has a strong aroma, smelling sweet but with an undertone which is almost minty. I’ve never had Manuka honey before, so first tried it on its own. I found it thicker in texture than I’m used to, it does taste like normal honey to me but has a slight herbal flavour to it. I next tried it on toast and also mixed it into a hot drink, both were very enjoyable.I know Manuka is said to have health benefits, afraid I can’t report on noticing any difference so far unfortunately.Overall it’s a very fresh but rich tasting honey. I’ve been enjoying it so would happily recommend.

Tasty honey but expensive
I’m not going to comment on any of the supposed health benefits/claims of manuka honey, I’m reviewing purely as a pot of honey. It arrives in a dark coloured plastic pot with a screw lid.I would describe the honey as a ‘firm soft set’ – i.e. it scoops out very easily but does not run. It is not a clear honey, but has a rich creamy consistency. The taste is very good, rich and smooth and maybe not quite so sweet as other honey. All honey tastes different depending on the type of pollen and tastes/flavours are personal preference so I can’t compare it to anything specific – if you like honey, you’ll probably like this.I would I buy it again but it's difficult to justify over £20 for a pot of honey – so I’ll buy local & support our local bee keepers and save on the airmiles.

Speedy delivery. Amazing health benefits.
I couldn’t believe how quickly this came. Had such a sore throat and it soothed it immediately. It has such amazing health benefits and I’ve been enjoying on toast, in drinks, in porridge: delicious and versatile! Must have.

Soft-set, creamy honey, less is more
I do like honey but I’ve never tried true manuka honey before, so I wasn’t sure what this would taste like or whether it would be set or runny. This honey is very smooth, it’s medium in consistency – not runny but not completely set. It melts in the mouth and is so sweet and moreish. I could really smell and taste the pollen. I found that I only needed a very small amount at once. There was an aftertaste to this that I really wasn't keen on. I’m not sure if this is normal or not but it tasted like something chemical or antibacterial, I wondered if it was caused by the pot, which is made of plastic. My Dad could also taste it but was less bothered by it and said the honey itself is a lovely texture and flavour.

Soothing and tasty...
It wasn't the reason I originally chose this SuperLife Manuka Honey but I've recently found it to be really helpful in alleviating some of the symptoms of a recent bug I contracted, you might have heard of it, it was in the papers, yes that one. I managed to contract it for the first time just after receiving this honey and it was a godsend for soothing my throat and getting rid of the relentless coughing. I just took a moderate teaspoonful and it actually worked like magic on the cough and would silence it for a couple of hours at a time. It didn't really do anything for the other symptoms but I'm thankful for the small mercy of getting rid of the coughing.Although it's supposed to be helpful for your immune system and general well-being the flavour is another good reason to choose Manuka honey and it's a strong flavourful honey. Usually I'm a bit love/hate with honey and some of the cheaper pasteurised varieties are not for me, you might as well eat syrup, but this is full of character and tastes authentic. It's a firm set honey with a very slight sugary graininess although that melts away as you eat it. It's a small jar but at least that helps keep the price down slightly so you might still enjoy the benefits without spending a fortune.

Very mild in taste
The taste of this is very mild compared to other manuka honeys I have tried, it really doesn't have that richness to it. Having said that, I think that most people who consume manuka honey do so for the medicinal properties, real or imagined. For the MGO rating this product seems a little on the pricey side relatively speaking though compared to other brands I have used.
