I purchased this filtration bag for my Pond Boss fountain thinking it was the cloth type bag I had previously purchased. Turns out it is a big heavy duty vinyl bag. Didn't think it would work out but I figured I would see how it fit. Turns out is is perfect. Once installed around the pump, it leaves enough room to keep vegetation and fish away from the pump intake. Should provide good filtration with less frequent cleaning needed. Great product. Highly recommend.

Pretty stiff and was difficult to install in smaller skimmer. I ordered this to replace a bag that was too flexible and got sucked into the pre-filter screen on my pond pump. This is not really a bag just two flat sections of rigid mesh with two black zip-ties to hold the opening shut. I am very pleased with how rigid this mesh is--will not get sucked into the pre-filter. It is very big and I think I will trim it to fit a bit better; right now it sticks out of the lily pond like some pond monster.

I highly recommend this product to keep your water pump from clogging up with leaves and debris. The stiffness of the material is a bonus to keep the material away from the intake , and keeps the water flowing. I have a second smaller pump with a soft net bag that can get some accumulation of leaves on the outside of the bag at the intake, and the result is to prevent the water from flowing In.

This is a pump saver and I would not want to run a pump without one. I gave it 3 stars because the description made it sound like the material would be more flexible. I already had something that I was using to house the pump in that was the same material. The product is good, but the material is somewhat rigid. I guess the words "mesh bag" threw me off.

This product should be a requirement for anyone that uses a pump in a pond with fish or turtles. Literally has prevented any tragedy of getting sucked into the pump. Also helps keep pond foliage out of the intake of our pump. Definitely Worth the $ and easy to install Over your pump.

I was excited about this product and found it because it was bundled with a pump that I was replacing. The pump is for an 9,000 gallon pond that I've had for years, so I'm familiar with the the normal flow of water over the two waterfalls feeding into the pond. When I started it up this spring with this bag, I was hoping it would keep leaves from building up under the base of the pump, but it restricted the water flow so much that there was barely water coming over the waterfalls. As soon as I removed it, the flow went back to normal. I ended up returning it.
