Altra Lone Peak 6 Trail Running Shoes Moderate stacked trail shoe with an aggressive outsole and integrated stone guard for anyone looking for a durable and protective trail shoe that can conquer any terrain. Quick-Dry Air Mesh Upper An update on previous versions, the quick-dry air mesh used on the upper part of the shoe is not only more breathable, but it has improved durability and security. The soft and flexible mesh of the upper allows you to run through wet and rainy conditions as the upper does not retain water, keeping you light on your feet. The upper also features updated drain ports that improve the flow of water ideal for trail running. The foot shape toe box allows your toes to spread out more naturally, offering greater comfort and stability in uphill climbs and downhill descents. The upper has been trimmed down slightly, which has helped make the 6 lighter and more flexible than its predecessor. An updated stone guard is much lighter in weight while offering the same level of protection. This has been done by effectively creating a pressure map of the foot on the stone guard and creating open perforations in the spots where there is very little pressure. This allows for less material to be used while offering protection in the necessary areas. The lacing system has been updated with additional lacing that provides a more secure fit across the forefoot, reducing in-shoe slipping. Finally, the heel loop makes transporting muddy shoes indoors is quick and easy. Altra EGO Midsole The Lone Peak 6 features an EGO midsole that adds cushioning and flexibility ideal for trail running. Maintaining the same stack height of 25mm as its predecessors, Altra have been able to increase the cushioning and durability of the midsole when it comes to the latest versions of the Lone Peak

Unbeatable Comfort & Grip for Trails and Dog Walks!
As a 30-year-old who loves trail adventures and dog walks, I can't recommend the Altra Lone Peak 6 enough. The comfort is unmatched with excellent cushioning, support, and a roomy toe box. The grip handles various terrains confidently, making every hike enjoyable. Despite regular use, these shoes have held up exceptionally well, proving their durability. Give them a try, and you won't be disappointed!

Amazing trail shoe
I bought a pair of Inov8 Mudclaw trail shoes a few weeks ago. They cut the back of my heals up something terrible so I looked for something to replace them with. I saw the reviews on the Altra Peak 6 shoe and thought I’d go for them. Ooooh how I wish I went for these first. Even with my ankles raw these shoes were amazingly comfortable from the first use. It allowed me to continue running whilst my ankles recover.Great underfoot, drain and dry quickly through those puddles, and super comfortable. The down side is that I’m not a fan of the colour. There were better colours but this grey with blue was on sale. Actually £80 cheaper than the same shoe in yellow. Ooooft yes please.Let’s see how they last over time but as things stand Altra Peak will be my choice of trail shoe for as long as they don’t change things up too much. Also the wide toe box is great. If you are walking, running, hiking or anything outdoor, you can’t go wrong these.I’ll be doing the West Highland Way in the Spring and it’ll be these I’ll use.

Great fit, super grippy on different terrain
This is my 2nd pair and I'm absolutely never buying any other shoe the wide toe box paired with a standard heel and foot fitting is just the most fantastic combo. I've run in mud, down steep hillsides and woodland paths /steps and felt really sure footed as others slid around me the grip is just amazing. Really good on rocks too. Highly recommend these shoes especially if running off road and longer distances

Great zero drop running shoes, barefoot fit … recommended.
My 1st pair of Altra running shoes. Wanted to try some zero drop barefoot style running shoes. Transitioned from Mizuno and Hokas with no real issues. Great ground feel from the relatively low stack height and decent traction from the lugged sole. Definitely a shoe for the trails and not the roads although it can be used to run to the park for instance on roads then the trails, just not miles and miles on the road. Is it any good, well I bought 2 other pairs fairly soon after that … so yes, a recommended buy.

Super comfortable
My 3rd pair of these shoes. Look great and super comfortable. My foot problems have disappeared! Laces and lacing system very good. 1st pair retired after about 600 miles due to wear on sole but otherwise still in good condition and still useable for short walks. Overall grip and feel of the trail is excellent but grip non existent on ice! Simply super comfortable.

So good
Have been in vivobarefoot shoes for about six months. Love the wide toe box, but find the lack of sponge made my feet and legs tired. The altras are perfect, wide toe box but with cushioning. Love them

Still going after 500+ miles
These were the first pair of Altra shoes, I now have ordered 2 more. They have definitely helped with my knee pain, and I have worn them for every day shoes, as well as multi day hikes (100+ miles) all year round. They need to be worn for a while to train your calves as they are zero drop, the benefits are online to read. There is some weight to the durability issues some have reported, the soles do wear, but this could because I have worn them so much, but it has not stopped me from buying more, they are super comfortable and the benefits are well worth it, wide toe box, soft, lightweight, quick drying. Pricey, but it they work for you, go for it.
