Actually Philippe Starck designed this in the late 80’s, production began 1990. M.I.B. II came out in 2003 (Production began in 2001). If anything, someone borrowed the ship design from Philippe—Even the 1st MIB wasn’t out until 1997.

Just like on the picture: put the cup underneath, press and twist half of the orange (or lemon, or grapefruit etc) against the top - the squeezed juice flows down the "grooves" into the cup.

I remeber the show, but I don't recall seeing it there, I will have to look at videos. Good eye! I seen it in other shows and movies, is a beautiful functional piece of art for sure. It's an Alessi! Enjoy it!
