4001 Bottled Ink for Fountain Pens, Royal Blue, 62.5ml, 1 Each (329136)

I did not experience any leakage at all. The color is one I like and this ink is a go too for me for most pens I have.

This is my favorite ink color and very good quality. Nicely packed, pretty bottle - I just think it is a bit pricey.

If one is using a fountain pen, one wants a nice ink in the pen. This is nice ink. Flows well. Looks good on the paper. Nice uniform lines. Very pleasant to use. This is my third bottle of this ink, and when it is gone I will order another.

After a lengthy absence, I am so glad this ink is readily available in the US again. It is one of my favorite blue-blacks, and checks all the boxes: - Pleasant writing experience. - Beautiful color. - Water-resistant and lightfast. The Internet has made something of a fuss over the imagined horrors of iron gall ink. It will destroy your pens! Rubbish. I've used IG inks for decades in a variety of fountain pens (some very expensive). It has never given me any issues. Modern IG formulations, like Pelikan 4001, are much gentler than the naysayers would have you believe.

I was very happy to find this ink available on Amazon. It's a nice blue-black, a good though not wildly amazing colour, but I needed a drier ink to tame my gusher of a Pilot Falcon. I always used blue-black in that pen anyway, and this is pretty close in colour to the Pilot ink I was using, but which was too wet in that pen. Now the pen writes much better and seems to do fine with the ink. I wouldn't recommend this ink for a pen that writes dry, but for a pen with very high flow (as most Pelikan pens are), this ink is great. I haven't tested it, but I believe it also has a decent amount of water resistance. I believe it has a little iron gall in it -- it does tend to darken on the page over time. I like that too.

Very nice ink, though I expected the ink to be darker as it runs rather dark and tends to dry quite a bit lighter. Dries fast, but you should still give it a second before touching. Packaging was nice though the product was a bit dusty - but that doesn’t really matter as the product was undamaged and matches product description. It’s hard to see in my photos, but the ink does blot out/feather very lightly around the edges of my writing. I also bought the black ink pit, and upon comparison immediately after opening, I noticed that the black ink was filled higher than the blue. Don’t know if that was a onetime defect of if it is common, but the black ink was filled up slightly into the neck while the blue wasn’t even filled up to to the bottom of the neck - by neck, I mean the part that comes up and is where the cap screws on.

Lighter blue like highlighter skyblue. Good and if you want to try diffrent shades of blue, would recommend. Comes with a decent box and should be fine to give as gift for fountain pen users.

Wanted blue, not blue black. This works.

Esta tinta es de muy buena calidad y su precio es contenido, es un azul brillante y bonito muy clásico, Creo que no merece la pena gastar mas dinero en marcas menos conocidas pues es una tinta fluida y con un buen secado.

Tinta de excelente qualidade para canetas tinteiro a um preço honesto. Uso estas tintas, em várias cores há anos e nunca deram qualquer tipo de problema, mesmo com tintas com mais de 5 anos de compradas, continuam a manter a qualidade. Recomendo para usa canetas tinteiro. A variedade de cores não é tão grande assim, mas permite fazer misturas de cores para obter cores diferentes.

Il mio consiglio è quello di usare l'inchiostro con una penna dalla punta tronca (chiamata in gergo "stub"). Una Pilot Plumix o una Lamy Joy... ma potete trovarne in giro anche di molto più economiche, anche qui su Amazon. Non lascia sbavature (a patto di non usare un righello per tracciare le linee) e asciuga in fretta. 5 stelle meritate.
