Columbia Women Crestwood Hiking & Trekking Shoes

These shoes are worth their weight in gold! Pros: 1. They fit well, and are quite comfortable to wear. 2. I have long, narrow feet with long toes, and this pair of shoes fits me comfortably. When you’re buying hiking shoes, make sure you have a little extra room in your toes. (This makes descending easier). 3. Great traction! The sole is perfect to use on any terrain, no matter how wet. I climbed mossy hills, rocky mountains, stood by a slippery river bank, touched waterfalls, and yet, I didn’t slip even once! 4. Keeps your feet dry. No matter how hard it rained outside, no matter how wet the rest of me got, my feet stayed dry and warm. 5. Easy to clean. I walked on a muddy road to reach a small waterfall. The shoes were caked in mud, but were easy to wash and dry. 6. These shoes gave me the confidence to climb mountains, walk by a river/lake, reach waterfalls and basically do anything without the fear of slipping and falling. I wish I’d found these shoes years ago! 🥰

Oh my god, these shoes are incredible! I bought them right before a trip and wore them on the trip without even breaking into them. I walked 10+ kms in these shoes on the first day and climbed sand dunes and rocky hills during my trip - these shoes provide amazing sole support, the best grip I have ever seen and are surprisingly light weight as well. To anyone looking for good trekking shoes, don’t even think twice about it. Buy it already! Would give it 20 stars if I could. I am so happy with this - I am now a Columbia fan for life!

Quality of shoes is too good. I used these shoes in Canada during extreme snowfall and my experience is good.

Loved the fitting and the ease of walking. Light weight and has an amazing grip while on trek’s.

Always have to buy half size larger in Columbia shoes. Thankfully 8.5 UK was available.

Very comfortable. Price was on sale and excellent. Wearing size 9 (men) and they are 9 and fit perfectly. Have not worn them long enough to judge everything about them but so far so good. Very lightweight also.

This is my third pair of these shoes and the quality of construction and the comfort they provide remains constant. I will buy again

I ordered a pair which was promptly delivered. On the advice of some of the reviewers here, I went a half size bigger which was spot on. Putting the shoes on first time, I did not get the ‘comfort out of the box’ that Merrell is known for and I almost returned them. I am glad I persevered, though, as wearing them an hour or two a day for a week broke them in and they are now comfortable. I did have to change the insole - the ones that came with the shoes were hard and hot. A good buy for the price.

I wear them all day at my landscaping job.fit great , lite and easy on my feet.

Update 1/19/25: I have now worn this newest pair of Columbia Men's Crestwood shoe for almost 14 months. I still like the shoes as I do wear them most everyday. Each shoe has now developed a small hole in the mesh over the toe area. The left shoe has a hole about the size of a pea and the right shoe has a hole about the size of a pencil eraser, both in the mesh on the outside toe area. The holes aren't expanding in size very fast. The shoes still are waterproof and the soles are worn down about half way. The sole on the left foot is just barely beginning to separate from the shoe itself near and under the big toe (a little shoe glue may fix this!). Other than the unsightly two holes in the mesh and the small separation of sole, the shoes seem to be holding up very well for daily use. Update 12/6/23: I purchased the Columbia Men's Crestwood Hiking shoe, in "Mud/Squash", over two and a half years ago and they have been very good shoes. I did have one little tear in the mesh, about the size of a pea, directly where it joins the black toe guard. It never grew in size and I wore these shoes several times a week over the years doing various activities in them. They always looked good but were showing a little wear on the soles......so, I bought another pair in grey and I am very pleased with them. I will continue to use the old pair to work around the house and will wear the new ones for daily wear away from home. So, do I like them? I DID buy another pair after wearing my first pair for over 2.5 years! Yes.....I am very pleased with these shoes and the service they have given me! I purchased the Columbia Men's Crestwood Waterproof Hiking Shoe in a size 13 wide in the "Mud/Squash" color! I was a little hesitant to purchase these on-line, since most shoes (sneakers/hiking) I purchase seem to run somewhat small! Before purchasing, I had my foot measured at a shoe store and it was a 12.5 men's US length. So, after reading reviews stating the size was accurate, I ordered the 13 Wides. I have had them for about 3 weeks and they are just great! The size (13) fits very comfortably and correctly on my foot and they are "cushy" and easy to walk in. I like the way the shoes look and feel on my feet. They are waterproof and have a label on each shoe's outer side, stating "Waterproof". The toe "kick" is made of rubber and wraps around the toe of each shoe. The soles feel like they are rubber too. I primarily purchased them for walking, but will use them for some hiking too! So far, I am very pleased with the look and feel of these shoes! The one criticism I have of the shoes it the arch is not quite high enough for me. I have flat feet and would have enjoyed having a little more arch support in each shoe, but I can always add a little more arch support if it becomes a problem. I usually purchase the 13M's, but I went with the 13W and am glad I did! So far, I am pleased with the look, feel (arch support could have been more pronounced), and sturdiness of the shoe! The only thing I can't tell you yet, is about the durability of the shoe. But time will tell.....and so will I if they don't meet my expectations!
