Got this as a gift for a 9yr old. It was so well liked that they're buying snapino sets for other kids. When they get bored with a project, they can rip it all apart and reconfigure it into a new project. Adding a Arduino makes endless possibilities of what they can create. We've had snap circuits for 6 yrs (with 4 kids) and it's a great product-we've had no broken pieces, easy to clean and a safe way for kids to learn what makes all our devices work. The kids love playing with them and don't even realize how much they're learning. Coding for these projects are everywhere-you don't have to be tech savvy to get your kid started...soon they'll be teaching you

Purchased this for our son as a Christmas gift. He has been into coding and repairing computers since middle school. He loved this set and has asked for others. Easy to follow instructions, and lots of add-on sets. We will be adding more sets for sure.

This was a prize we gave away for STEM Club on how to build circuits. The family who won it raved about how easy it was to use and that they can add additional parts to it. Perfect for STEM activities or for a prize.

This is a great entry level kit for kids (or adults) who want to learn to use microprocessors in electronic circuits. The kit integrates well with any of the other Snap Circuits kits and given that it includes a fully functional Arduino Uno board, and the inputs/outputs are accessible, you can use this with a whole world of other sensors, motors, lights, etc. The computer programs are well annotated in the manual and are a great starting point for kids to learn to write their own computer code.

5 cause I love the product. 1 cause I am disappointed in it. Some reason lights will automatically alternate. The code won't load into the UNO. void () is bad. Yeah- otherwise the product is awesome. I just wish it would work and be easier to do it. :) I'll get it to work eventually. I want this product to work so badly.

I am a big fan of snap circuits and have been using the 750 circuits and 100 circuits kits to teach my 15 and 8 year old boys electricity and electronics. This kit, however was a disappointment. I expected much more than a couple of led phototransitor experiments. Also I expected more Arduino pins brought out to the snap connectors. Elenco provides only one wire to use with Arduino pins over the 1 analog and 4 digital that they bring out to the snap connectors. They charge almost 18 dollars to buy the wires separately. That's more than half the price of the kit.Pros: The kit such that it is is well made and the Arduino Uno is well protected while all its pins are still accessible. You can download the sample programs from their website and they are well documented with comments.Cons: Comes with a rudimentary manual with some simple experiments.Biggest con is that it comes with only one Arduino pin to Snap wire over and above what the Arduino case provides.Summary: This kit doesn't provide the same level of value as their other kits. But it is nevertheless well made and with a little added expense can be made to work with their other kits

I bought this for my ten year old daughter to use as part of a science fair project. Through personal instruction, and by doing the example projects, she was able to gain enough knowledge to design her own circuit and program it to create a micro controller operated musical nightlight. This is a great product for any young person or adult interested in learning how to work with Micro-Controllers.

A gift for my 11 year old son and he LOVES it. He loves all snap circuits but the fact he can use this alone or add it to others,, also plug it into his computer,,, it keeps him busy and his mind thinking. Highly recommend Snap Circuits for any kid!

The kit showed up yesterday and immediately my daughter (6) was hinting that she wanted to try the new snap circuit set. I started her with the smallest set when she was 2 and she was hooked. Got her the big set a year later and the arduino was a natural next step. Thanks for making electronics fun for kids. I wish I would have had this stuff.

Je l'ai offert à Noël à mon fils de 10 ans qui est passionné d'électronique, informatique, etc ... c'est sympa comme tout pour débuter car hyper simple d'utilisation et les gamins ont l''impression d'être des génies de l'électronique ! Par contre, si cela leur plait, il va falloir investir par la suite dans un produit plus élaboré Arduino, tant pis pour votre portefeuille !

My students love this product. They are enthusiastic and several beg to stay after school to continue. A great way to be introduced to electronics and coding.
