My facial oil is out of control! I usually fight to dry it out, which I know is not what dermatologists would tell you to do, but it still feels right. Before I know it, there my pores go again, filling up with tons of oil, making me look like a hot mess! This bar is a game changer.It has a lovely, lemongrass fragrance to it, comes in a large circular bar that will last for quite awhile when not used too haphazardly. The size does justify the cost, when put with all of the skin benefits coupled with it. It cleanses to perfection, and helps keep that nasty, oily skin in check without stripping the skin so dry it feels red, tingling and tight- NOPE! Just very clean and refreshed. Soft, as well. Its truly been my favorite cleansing bar I’ve EVER tried to date, and I’ve tried many. Great for the whole body, too- but I use it mostly on my face. I think this bar of soap is fine, but I think a bar of Dove works much better on the skin.

This is a good cleansing bar. It lathers nicely and cleanses well, without over-stripping or over-drying my skin. It works well on oily or acne-prone skin. My skin feels soft and fresh. No irritations so far. The scent reminds me of lemongrass. It is bright and refreshing but not overpowering.This comes in a nice, eco-friendly box made of an oversize paperboard tray with an outer sleeve. The only plastic material is the security stickers on the outside. Made in the UK. Overall, I like this cleansing bar. it works well and is gentle enough for everyday use. A little pricey though.

The Facetheory Claribar is definitely one of the nicest face and body bars I've ever used, and I think my favorite out of all the excellent Facetheory products I've tried so far. I absolutely love the scent, which is a really fragrant lemongrass. You can smell it through the box, and it's an incredibly pleasant scent while you use it. It does faintly linger on your skin for a short period of time after using it, and although I normally don't like lingering scents, I love every trace of this super fresh scent!What really sets this bar apart is its unique texture imparted by the green clay component. When dry, it definitely has a clay-like appearance, and the resulting lather has a bit more texture that I love. I'm especially enjoying it for washing my face, because it leaves it feeling clean and refreshed, but not dry or tight like most bar soap does. It is not a fast-dissolving soap, so I think this bar should last a while. I haven't used it long enough to discover it's acne control properties, but in my use so far oil control seems pretty good.I was happy to see this come in sustainable packaging with a minimal use of plastic (just the safety seals).I've used many other high-quality bar soaps in the past, and while this and others like it can be expensive, there is a difference. Overall, if you like lemongrass, and you appreciate the feeling of a really high quality and luxurious bar soap, I think you'll really like the Claribar!

I really like the scent of this bar. Plus it's a nice size, especially in comparison to similar bars. The soap is great for oily skin. It produces a nice lather and it doesn't leave a film behind when rinsed. My skin feels so much healthier with this soap, so I will continue to use it. That said, there is a disconcerting warning in the package about consulting a dr if you're under 18 or pregnant. I'm far from either of those, but it still gave me pause. Nevertheless, I like the way my skin feels after using this soap and will continue with it.
