It would be possible to lengthen the hose, but you are dealing with full water pressure and you would have to use a hose that was rated for pressure so it would not rupture. A fitting inserted into the hose and secured by a hose clamp would work to connect the hoses but you would most likely need a converter to allow the attachment of a hose with garden hose threads at the faucet.
