Does the rechargeable version work well? Or should I purchase the one that you have to replace the batteries in it?

The small version of the rechargeable led light is terrible. I had two of them fail on me within a couple days. The batteries would not charge. It would light up while plugged in but that was it. The xl version has been great though. If that's too big, the replaceable battery ones have always worked well for me in the past. Just a pain to have to keep getting new batteries.
