Fixed the cracks on my 12yr old wetsuitโs taped seams
Used this to fix the cracks and missing chunks in the taped seals (rubber type of tape applied to the wetsuit during manufacturing which covers the traditional stitched and glued seams) on my 12year old OโNeill Psycho2 wetsuit. Didnโt feel like dropping another $300-450 for a similar current model when this ones neoprene is still fine. Worked great! It dries quick and really closely resembles the original rubber tape material. Doesnโt end up sticky or brittle. Bought the 4oz and pretty much used the whole bottle by double coating all of the taped seams inside the suit, and then a light touch up on the outside taped seams at high flex points where the rubber tape was cracking. Canโt attest to how the product fires out after its first use but I can see how that would be true. Like other reviews stated: This stuff dries up and coagulates fast so have your sh*t together and your workspace ready. I laid my (fully dried) suit out flat and did one side of the suit at a time. Let fully cure. Applied a second coat. Let cure again. Flipped and repeated. The brush that comes inside the cap is sort of trash. Might want to grab a cheap one so you make less of a mess and the end result looks cleaner. Iโm stoked to get at least another season or two out of this old suit before I gotta spring for a new one. ....and to think I was ready to toss it and bite the bullet. Anyway...Really glad I pulled the trigger and gave this product a shot. *Probably going to grab a small tube to keep in the truck in the JIC bag full of other usefull sh*t like ding repair, fin screws, glock23, spare mags, LunaBars, KYjelly, and whatnot. Thanks Gear Aid!

Good Product, Easy to Apply but Brush Could Be Better
This repair cement works well and is easy to apply. It does a solid job bonding neoprene and feels reliable for quick fixes on wetsuits or other gear. The drying time is fast, which makes it really convenient when you need a quick repair. The adhesive itself is strong and flexible once it cures, so it holds up well without becoming stiff or cracking. Itโs great to have on hand for small repairs or touch-ups. Minor note: The brush could be improved, it tends to fan out a bit, which makes application a little less precise than it could be, especially for smaller or detailed repairs. Overall, this is a dependable and effective repair product that gets the job done. With a better applicator, it would be even better, but itโs still a great option for quick and durable fixes.

This stuff is awesome!
I feel itโs rare these days to get a product that works exactly as advertised. I had some very nice scuba pro neoprene gloves that had split seams. I follow the directions exactly and this rubber contact cement function perfectly. The gloves are good as new!

Works on water shoes!
Phenominal stuff. Used it to repair my Merrell water shoes. Strap broke and repaired with this. Material was rubber and neoprene. Worked wonderfully. I'd reccomend using painters tape for anywhere you dont want to repair/cover.

THE neoprene contact cement. Limited shelf life after opening.
Good stuff. Seems like an industry standard. This is more for binding seams and joining surfaces together, vs. other Aquaseal, which is to fill a missing hole of neoprene. Follow installation instructions and it will stick well. I use a disposable 1/2" brush for careful application. UPDATE on the following, reducing rating from 5 to 3 stars. UPDATED - Even when following the procedures below, I found the cement to self-cure inside the can, making it pretty worthless after several months. Still good stuff, but I recommend planning on using the whole can within a short period of time, and not expecting it to last. PREVIOUS comments - I've had no problems with it solidifying in the can. I think you just need to be sure the lid is on tight, and the threads are clean. I have read a tip to store the can upside down to be extra sure of no air leaking in, so I do that too. Storing in your freezer would probably help too, as I do with my other special glues.

Works Perfectly & Easy to Apply
I got this product after tearing my triathlon wetsuit a few times and trying to repair with a different repair sealant. The other type was thick and really hard to apply (basically impossible to actually stick to the neoprene) so I was worried this would be the same. I can't say enough about how good this stuff is. The can came with an applicator brush and the cement was very sticky and very liquid. It immediately soaked into the neoprene and started thickening up (a good thing!). I followed the instructions on the can: apply to each side of the tear and let sit for 5 minutes with the tear pulled apart, apply and let sit with the tear open for an additional 10 minutes, pinch edges together to seal the opening back up. One additional thing I did was use a toothpick after each application to sort of push it down into the tear (mine were pretty big) to ensure that all the nooks and crannies got covered. After applying it was like an immediate fix. One thing I've read to do is basically bend the piece over itself to compress the area for a few hours before storing and I'll probably do that with this, but the seal seemed almost immediate. I can't recommend this stuff enough, my wetsuit is good as new. Compared to the single tear from last year, the new seals look much more secure and "sealed".

Bad Quality product received
I have ordered Gear Aid Aquaseal NEO Contact Cement many times for wetsuit repairs, and the product was always thick and worked perfectly. However, in my last order, I purchased 3 bottles and found that 2 bottles had very thin liquid consistency, unlike the usual quality supplied earlier. Considering the price is around Rs. 2922 per bottle, I expected consistent quality. Very disappointed with this batch.
