How do you connect it to laptop if you don’t have usb-c?

Duex Pro comes with a USB A cable ad well. So it works with conventional USB

Can you adjust the brightness?

Yes, the default brightness is 240N, it can be adjusted all the way up to 300N. It can also be lowered to 120N

Within minutes of installing the magnets it fell off. Has anyone had luck with using something else to attach the magnets?

suggestion, once you decide ypu want to securely attach this to your laptop or tablet, get some 3M VHB tape to mount the magnets. VHB will not ever let go so magnets will stay in place. As an example 3M VHB tape is so strong many people use it to secure solar panels on their RV roof. Just be certain you are committed to this monitor as removing the tape will take time, patience and elbow grease.

Hi, so I bought this for my work but out IT dept won't install the driver, can this work with a vga to usb c or a display port to usb c cable?

Hi Nick, it only works with the driver. However, DisplayLink is widely used in corporations. Most companies already use DisplayLink since it is common in docking stations. Did you try to have it installed yourself, it is very simple. Please go to DisplayLink.com
