Product Awesome...Lid Not so much
This product works as advertised and has been EXTREMELY effective in keeping our water clear. Complaints about the lid on the container are real. It is extremely difficult to open and I don't see any reason for such a complex lid design...the company must have gotten sold on this design from a family member or someone they owed a favor because no sane person would think its easy to open or use. But it's worth the headache for how the treatment works!!

UPDATE/Cannot open container
I had to write an update to this review. After my grandson broke the top open, we were able to add this shock to the spa. I am pleased to say that my spa is sparkling clean! No chlorine! Five stars for the product. One star for packaging! I would love to comment how effective this non-chlorine shock treatment is for my spa, but how the hell do you open the package? I have tried it, my 40-year-old daughter has tried opening it, now my 15-year-old grandson is trying. None of us are having any luck opening this thing. I think it was sealed with glue!

Very awkward to open
Seller reached out great communication. I appreciate that. Reviews are right very hard open. It took two of us to try and open the dang thing it’s awkward. There’s better ways to do this.

Your hot tub will thank you.
I like this brand of shock for my hot tub because it works quick and it help keeps my water nice and clear. I had an instance where my water was cloudy and after a couple of treatments, it was back to normal. This 5 lb container lasts for quite a while.

Aquadoc Products Rule
Shock is an essential chemical in your spa health. Mine is bromine based so this is an excellent choice. The entire Aquadoc line is awesome.

A Bromine-Based Treatment Option
This stuff has been working really well to keep my spa balanced. It's less harsh than the chlorine equivalent. I always throw some in and run the tub for a few minutes after each use. I would recommend this as a bromine-based treatment option.

Smells strong
Despite using less than recommended, this stuff smells so strong! Wouldn’t buy again. The smell lingers for days. Concerning.
