Medical Anthropology: A Biocultural Approach [Wiley, Andrea S., Allen, John S.] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. Medical Anthropology: A Biocultural Approach Review: Amazing text book for Medical Anthropology - I used this book to teach my summer session class. Summer sessions are always super intense and dense, but regardless, we made it through most of the book (I omitted two chapters due to time!). This is a great text book. Super relevant and up to day examples. The study questions and critical thinking suggestion at the end of each chapter served as the basis for our discussions in class. I had not taught this class before, and was looking for a good text book. After having read a bunch of good reviews on this book I took a chance on it, and I have not regretted it. The students were very happy with the book as well. Only thing was that some of the chapters were fairly long. But the students knew from the syllabus what to read and when to be prepared, so if they felt they had not had enough time - then that is on them. I learned an immense amount while teaching this book. I have both recommended it to others, and if I will ever teach this class again, I will definitely use this book again. Review: Very interesting content - I love how this book covers very broad topics. As a doctor I think medical anthropology is a must read for every person in the health care profession. Very well organized book, im a big fan.

Book in fine condition, Missing first 18 pages
I rented this book for a college class, but it was missing the first 18 pages. I knew that it might have writing on it, but I was not informed that this would be missing pages.

This book was for a university class and as a result required reading. However, it is a really good book with ty very interesting views about people and different health subjects. I recommend this to anyone who is interested in their health and the health of those around them.
